As a roof contractor for several decades, this video is simply.........horrible and no help to anyone. Everything she did is unacceptable as a professional should make these "simple" repairs easily and correctly. The cost would be minimal. Number 1, it was leaking on the deck because there are no gutters, a missing tab (of a 3 tab shingle) does not mean it is leaking. Number 2, the shingles around the pipe boot flashing should all be removed and then cut and installed properly around the new boot. Number 3, the vent box flashing should not have slid out at all. The roofer that put the roof on used staples, that brought a chuckle. Staples for roofing, that was a very long time ago, barbaric, the roof should already have been replaced. Again, all the shingles around the vent would be taken out even if the new box vent is different, it is. These repairs would look brand new properly done, not hacked in as all of these were. To be clear, I just stumbled upon the video and saw a girl, had to watch to see how she did. No offense intended whatsoever.

I'd recommend next time she go get KY jelly from her night stand and apply it generously to that long pipe vent and slide it slowly through that rubber boot making a gentle grunting noise as she did it. Is it necessary? No. But man that would've been hot!

I was more interested in her than the roof repair.
