The stability and confidence metric is vastly overrated. I would put it at 4/10 at best due to the massive instability of the state arising from leftist politics and social movements that have long since left both common sense and reality far behind. That is the primary factor driving all of California's woes these days.

Any state, country that thinks it can tax its way out of Debt is a failing state or country led by people who have no economic or business sense. Vote in because you always vote that way, pay the price and it is rise by the day.

California never talks why they have such a big economy thanks to federal contracts with the state, NASA, military bases etc and the state is one of the latgest with the biggest population in the USA!
