If only it would work in Canada I’d go back to kindle
ОтветитьThis is the video I was looking for. Thank you so much
ОтветитьI purchased a kindle paperwhite and very disappointed with it. I can only get the library books to transfer the e-books to my lap top and phone. I called Amazon and they were no help! What am I doing wrong? Help
ОтветитьThank you! Really helpful video since I just bought my first Kindle.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!@
ОтветитьHi, so my problem is when I tap on borrow there’s nothing at the bottom that says send to my Kindle. It only shows my library card and then I’m borrowing for so many days and then it’s just his borrow.
ОтветитьI don't have a US library card, can I still borrow books on a kindle (assuming I borrow through libby)? I know kobo can. Plus, I am from Asia
ОтветитьNah I use google idk wtf I am even watching this video wtf I need to rethink my life bro😅
ОтветитьGreat information, well articulated. Thank you!
ОтветитьIt's such a shame that this doesn't work in Germany.
ОтветитьLibby is good for multiple libraries (at least in the US) as long as Libby is a service provided by the library. For example, I am in in the state of West Virginia (WV) and adjacent to Kentucky (KY). Through a reciprocal agreement between states I was able to get a library card in KY in addition to my WV card. Both library systems feature Libby and I was able to enter library card information for both libraries in Libby. In Libby I and can search for a title, see availability in both library systems and can borrow or put place a hold from either library system.
ОтветитьCan you let iPhone or laptop to read e-books on Libby aloud? Meaning read it for you? If so, how? Thanks.
ОтветитьLibby/Overdrive is not available on kindle in Canada.
ОтветитьIt looks this service is not available in Croatia 😐
ОтветитьOn my libby app (Auckland Libraries NZ) I am not able to find any books that are kindle compatible... Do I need a US library account to find kindle compatible books? Thanks
Ответитьmore than 5 minutes on intros and explaining what a library is and what a library card is. Really? It is simply ridiculous to think anyone looking for a video on how to use the Libby App for Kindle needs to be told what a library is. We just want to get a lesson on how to use the Libby and Overdrive apps. That should be a 30 second video. The rest is absurd filler.
ОтветитьBut you don’t really explain how to use the app on kindle, you talk about what a library is
ОтветитьAre there people who actually do not know what a library is? So sad.
ОтветитьVery annoying that in 2022 kindle is focused on USB Type C and not getting newspapers and magazines accessible on Libby. I blame tech reviewers (not you tho)
ОтветитьDoes this still apply to Kindle? I can’t seem to figure this out on the Libby app or my Kindle Oasis.
Overdrive/Libby seems to lean more to Kobo.
Location: Canada
Great, informative video. Thank you.
Ответитьborrow ebooks onto your Kindle e-reader via Libby apps only AVAILABLE IN USA library.
ОтветитьQuick tip: You can actually already return the book in Libby after you’ve already sent it to your Kindle. It won’t disappear from your Kindle until the loan ends even if you’ve already returned it in Libby :) I do this so the next person waiting for the book can get it earlier than expected.
ОтветитьUseful. Thanks.
ОтветитьAnother excellent explanation - unfortunately this doesn't work if you're in the UK. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to find an alternative way to get books from my library onto my new kindle paperwhite - does anyone out there know the answer. I'd be really happy to find out if there was.
ОтветитьThanks!! I received a kindle from a very young age, I didn’t even know Libby existed until now
ОтветитьI live in Buffalo and can get cards for my County, Brooklyn and NY state. It’s the best!
ОтветитьI must be missing something. Bc I have a kindle oasis , ( waste of $ so far ) but my hoopla won’t download books to my actual kindle only my iPhone ! My kindle APP works fine . I cannot go by reading and listening on audible either !
I cannot understand what I’m not doing .
My oasis said “ hoopla. “Unsupported browser “ with a blank looking book that won’t Dow load
Thanks so much for this!!
ОтветитьThank you. this was helpful
ОтветитьOdd. I put in my library card and it made me make a password.
ОтветитьVery informative video. I didnt' know this was possible. I will check to see if I can get a local library card but I dont' expect access to ebooks. It is a very small & out in the sticks. I love your enthusiasm for Kindle & ebooks. All the best
ОтветитьGreat video! Thinking of getting a Kindle, so my understanding Kindle has Libby built in the device ?
ОтветитьI just wish I could own a Kindle 😭😭 sadly we could not afford so Im just here watching over the screen. I hope you could share me over your old Kindle 😭
ОтветитьHow long can you borrow books for?
ОтветитьBetter to mention that this only works in the US.
ОтветитьI’ve been using Libby for a very long time now. I’m a bit lazy to read these days ( except for my spiritual books ), so I listen to audiobooks on my iPad. Libby has a wide selection of audiobooks- I wonder if you can listen to these books through the kindle device using headphones ?
ОтветитьWhat about taking notes and having them export to readwise?
ОтветитьI think have access to most of the libraries in the state. I live on the border of another city and use their library.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. This process only works in America I guess. It doesn’t work in Singapore. Probably will need to get a Kobo which will work better borrowing books here (after watching your other video). :)
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this info
ОтветитьDo you know if highlights in a library ebook get saved to Readwise & stay on Readwise when you no longer have the ebook?
ОтветитьHey guys, do you know if this service is available in other countries, or is it US only?
ОтветитьReally helpful!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite Libby features is the “Skip the Line” feature. It’s a curated list of popular books that the library has temporarily obtained additional “copies” of to loan out (at least that was my understanding). It’s worth looking into. I check it almost daily and most of my recent reads have been from there. It took me a while to even notice it so I was super glad when I discovered it. The only downside is that they are shorter loans. A normal timeframe is generally 21 days whereas skip the line books are only loaned out for 7 days.
ОтветитьIt doesn't work in Spain :(
ОтветитьIs the library borrowing feature available in India ?
ОтветитьOnly works in the us, not the uk
ОтветитьPretty cool. I don't expect this will be available where I'm from any time soon tho 😅
ОтветитьSo this is useless to anyone outside the US exactly why kobo is better
