If this movie were made after 2018 Vesper would be a different character. She would have fought back like a badass while James struggled, up staging him in his own movie, before saving him just in time for James to finish of the weakened villains. Oh and she'd be black and gay.

I like that it's actually the henchman who realizes Bond has tapped them and listened to the conversation. Very perceptive. He even found a faster way down the stairs.

Daniel Craig is the quintessential Bond. As @jakeadair8292 mentioned, Timothy Dalton was also superb. Both brought the grittiness that Fleming wrote about, and ignored the flashy gadgets. Best Bonds bar none.

I gotta say every single bad guy that James Bond runs into puts up a great fight😂 even if it’s not the main villain and it’s just some random guy he’s as hard as bond is 😂

Couple years ago. I fell off a stool and my side landed against the corner of the wall. I could feel 'health' had left me and that 'health' was what kept me from being hurt. This fight scene. Heavy damage, mostly from hitting the ground and the wall and rolling down stairs. These two took a LOT of damage. Such a great scene, within this awesome, longer part of 'Casino Royale,' the poker tournament with Le Chiffre. I mean. Bond still has to turn the tables in the poker match, AND get poisoned, get an adrenaline shot to start his heart again, come back, and then win. Enjoy caviar and toast with Vesper. And then get tortured.
