How To Reply To A Specific Message On Instagram

It’s not working for me

I keep updating my Instagram,but I still don’t get that option

Freakishly slow talk, taking forever to say basic crap

Must be an Apple only thing? Anyone else have this on Android?

I dont get any of those options. all I get are copy, or report. im on apple

Can I reply to a reel that was sent to me or a photo with music, not a photo reply?

To anyone who this isn’t working for check inside ur settings in instagram, towards the top there should be some sort of option that says to update messenger and it should fix ur problem and give you the same version of instagram that he has in this video

No option even after update
Edit- you have to go to the setting and then you will see 'UPDATE MESSAGING ' .
THEN TAP ON Update. You are ready to use. Thanks me later

For those who this is not working, from the bottom of anyone's chat just swipe up, there you will see the option Vanish mode click on that and click on update 👍🤟🤙

No update, no vanish mode, no update messages, nothing. I guess it's not available in my country ? It's available in Instagram Lite BUT I have to sideload it because it's not available in my country...

Not getting it on android running the latest version of Instagram, all I can do is (report, copy text and like) that is it. So tell me how I am suppose to reply or even add gestures ???

GUYS! You have to scroll all the way down on a DM convo and press Get Vanish Mode. Once you do that, the other options will show up. 🙌
You can also turn it off afterwards (vanish mode) and the options will still be there

it's been 10 months and swiping to the right still doesnt work.... yes its updated.

Just go to settings and update your message chat

SOLUTION: If the reply option doesn’t show up for you, follow these steps:
1. In Instagram, go to your profile
2. Hit the 3 lines in the top right corner
3. Select settings
4. Select “Update Messaging”

You should now have the functions shown in this video.

So this works but I’d like to figure out the best way to reply to a reel with a reel. If I copy a link, the link will show. I’d rather it show up with a “preview” like it normally does.
