Raspberry Pi Windows 3.1

Hi I have a problem with dosbox on my Raspberry pi 3 model b+
No matter if I run this windows 3.1 or any game in dosbox always have so much lags when moving mouse ... When stop moving mouse sound is ok but when move mouse it's sound laggy and mous moving like game runs in 3fps , I boost already ctrl+f12 not helping
Please help I'm looking use that as portable pc but that's makes some problems to do that I run few things in dosbox usually

chris, is there a way to run win xp or win 7 on a Pi and using a USB DVD player? In order to install other OS, I would need to make a bootable drive with BIOS calls.

I've got those 7 disk 's on one CD, gonne try this old scool project. Grown up with that shit! Back to the bobe!

Anyone managed to install 3.1 on rpi v1? I have tried with Dosbian but the files copy but it freezes when you try to complete setup for the enter your name section.

When you copy the Win 3.1 to the USB drive. Did you make 1 folder or 7 folders.

Is there any downloads for the windows 3 files

I have a wifi adapter tat come with a CD but I do not know how to install on a Raspberry Pi. Any Ideas.

Thank you. I could install windows 3.11 in the raspberry pi. I’m currently having issues to install office 4.3, as the spanish version has 28 Floppy discs. I tried with *img and *iso images but I cannot complete the setup process. It would be great if you could make a video about about it!!

Windows ME was the last version of Windows to be DOS based. But from Win95 on, the computer by default loaded Wndows on boot after DOS loaded so it made it look like DOS wasnt there when it was. You could configure Win95 to boot to what was called DOS 7. Also, Win95 combined Windows and DOS into one purchase, where previously they were seperate purchases

no Windows ME was the last one to run over dos

Today I'm back installing Windows 3.11 on my Raspberry Pi 3b. Installed the standard DosBox, and then installed Win3.11.
I wonder if you could point me in the right direction to figure out how to...1) Get sound and MIDI working.2) Increase the screen resolution. and 3) Using 256bit colour video.
My goal here is to get an old educational game running, which I used to play as a kid. Troggle Trouble Math (anyone, anyone? 😁)
I've got it running right now in fact. However, it's extremely slow at only 1fps, there's no sound at all, and it's running in 16 bit colour 😢
I've tried a few various options in the dosbox configuration file, but with not much luck.
And I also tried running SETUP.exe for Windows 3.11, to configure the different possible video cards. But unfortunately, anything I tried except VGA 16bit, produced either a black screen, or some weird vertical pink lines as though the resolution was just not something DosBox could handle.
I'm wondering if there is maybe a DosBox that I could compile specifically for this use case?
Any help you can give me on this would be amazing, it might even be an interesting video to get a "good" Windows 3.11 working with the Pi, rather than just barebones.
What do you think Chris, am I tempting you here at all? 😁

I kind of doubt it would run a Pi Pico with the picomite or some vga mother board for the pico to plug into.
