John Albert Jansen

John Albert Jansen was born in 1954. He studied Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Amsterdam. From 1982–1985 he lived in Berlin, attended a course in directing at the Berlin Free University and began to work as journalist for the Dutch daily newspaper De Volkskrant and the Dutch broadcasting network VPRO, where he worked as a senior editor. In the past fifteen years he worked as an independent filmmaker and in 2005 he founded his own film production company Oogland Film Productions.
