EDIT: ive found the answer to my question. The thing with the police doest not trigger until u get inside the safe and trigger the arrow thing to tell u to press the button. A couple of dialogs will follow that and the police will swoop in shortly. if u did not trigger it u will be waiting there like a f**ing nutjob staring at invaders (if u found the exploit) doing nothing.

After I accidentally killed the cop and saw that we couldn't change the choice, I deleted the game, I won't play it again.

oops, I'm Brazilian and I wanted to say that when I played this level the first time I didn't save either grandma or the guard and I had a heavy conscience so after 2 years I started playing again and finished the world and restarted the story of the level and then I managed to save the garda, so yes you can save both of them, just do 100% of the world and restart the main story, I just came to comment on that😢😮😊
