This is one of the most powerful songs I've ever experienced. Back in 2010 when I was losing both of my parents and my in-laws and me being an only child it was such a difficult time trying to juggle all of it with work and swing shift so on and so forth and just one night coming home ready to fall apart this song came on. It was like the Lord himself was sitting in that truck with me and was steering and driving because I was crying and completely melting down I have no idea how I got home but his presence was so real I could touch it! I've never forgotten that experience. And I hear this song it's sort of a Bittersweet reminder of my parents passing but I do also know they are in glory with him.

The song is just as powerful in 2023. Using Biblical words in the lyrics, Mark gave us hope through the Holy Spirit that alll hope is not lost with the loss of a loved one. Amid life's trials and challenges, we find comfort in the words from Philippians 4:4: Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice. This simple yet powerful message urges us to find joy in our relationship with God. It reminds us that no matter what circumstances may come our way, we can always cling to the hope and peace that comes from Him. But how do we cultivate this rejoicing spirit? One way is by expressing our gratitude to God in all situations.

Psalm 106:1 tells us, Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! When we thank God for His goodness and unending love, it shifts our perspective and allows us to see His presence even in difficult times. Furthermore, when faced with anxieties or burdens, we must remember that God is near. He is not distant or unaware of our struggles. Therefore, instead of dwelling on worry, we are called to bring everything before God through prayer and supplication. In doing so, we acknowledge that He has control over every circumstance and trusts Him with our requests.

Isaiah 41:10 says, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

This act of surrendering ourselves and our needs to God enables us to experience a peace that surpasses all understanding. It is a peace that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, shielding us from fear and anxiety. This supernatural peace grants us strength to face each day with confidence, knowing that God's faithfulness will never waver.

So, let us choose today to cultivate a spirit of rejoicing in the Lord - an attitude rooted in unwavering gratitude towards Him. Let us become known for our reasonableness amidst life's challenges as we trust in His provision and seek His guidance through prayer. And as we do so, may His indescribable peace be ever-present within us, guarding our hearts and minds in Jesus' name. Amen. Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Amen.
