Why in the world would you do this when the pollinators are in danger of extinction? Big thumbs down, sir
ОтветитьWill tenacity work better.
ОтветитьFoolsih 2 b using them 'cides. Causes gynecomastia (aka moobs), and cancer. That kind of clover you have is not unsightly or bad for the lawn at all. In fact, whent I worked on a daily farm, we planted red clover because clover is like ice cream for cows!!
ОтветитьMeanwhile, I'm converting my entire lawn to clover! Won't need fertilizer, chokes ou other weeds, evergreen, and better for bees!
ОтветитьI hate them
ОтветитьWhere did you get the Penguin Statue?
ОтветитьTo avoid chemicals, loosen the roots using a hard rake, benefit of dethatching at the same time. The clover runners will pop up out of the lawn and can be pulled.
ОтветитьMy yard is 75% clover and 25% crab grass
ОтветитьWhat's wrong with clover? Leave it. If it takes all lawn then you'll have a clover lawn.
ОтветитьFeed it out. Clover only grows on poor quality soil. Repeated feeding with a high nitrogen lawn feed will eliminate it.
ОтветитьClover is very fragrant !
ОтветитьI hate dollar weed help us get rid of it😊
ОтветитьThe bees that love clover will sting your dogs. So if you have dogs, especially ones that are highly allergic, you want to get rid of the clover
ОтветитьDandelions are fvking awesome I wish I grew more in my yard one of the herbs to take! Do not spray poison in your yard! This guys is a fool! Hell end up with lymphoma cancer in a couple years from now
ОтветитьNo respirator? What does inhalation of that stuff do? Not to mention other PPE…
ОтветитьI find the Hi-Yield Triclopyr ester does the best job on Creeping Charlie (Ground Ivy), and Wild Violet (3/4 oz per gal, and shake well-1,000 sq feet)
ОтветитьCan't see triad coming up any of the big box stores online.
ОтветитьClover is good for bees ie the environment
Ответитьdo you recommend after it is dead; to mow again?
Ответитьa grass lawn is an ecological DEAD zone
ОтветитьGreat video! QUESTION:
I have a large patch of lawn that is 80% clover. Is there any physical removal necessary after the clover is dead, like raking it up or something? Or can I plant seeds where it lays and grow grass through it?
Nice video
Can you perhaps elaborate on the diff among triad TZ, QC and the regular one?
Thanks for any help, located in Michigan zone 5
As a botanist, I’d like to step in and say that clover and dandelion are fantastic for your lawn. The dandelion will detoxify the soil (not to meantion the huge list of benefits by consuming it) and clover is a nitrogen fixer. Neither are “weeds.” It’s a common misconception. Also, clover lawns save water (which most of us need to conserve), saves time (doesn’t require much attention) and does require mowing too often (conserved gas and oil products in general). Historically, only the very wealthy had lawns because they didn’t have the need for a gigantic food producing garden because they were able to buy everything they wanted. The public had “victory gardens” and used their land for growing food. This was common from the late 1800’s into the 1940’s. A man named Fredrick LAW (which is why it’s named a LAWN) created, what we call today, the suburbs. Selling the “American dream” to families that already had a lawn with the house. It was a status symbol at the time. Today it’s just a waste of space and basically a fruitless crop. I think lawns should be uprooted and the space used for growing your food so that we aren’t shipping common fruits and vegetables from all over the world. It’s a great way to conserve an unsurmountable amount of resources and is incredibly sustainable and conscientious to our only home we have, planet Earth. So, needless to say I completely disagree with this video and viewpoint entirely. But nonetheless, if this is what you want, do you. Just don’t judge and condemn others for actually using their property sustainably and surrounding themselves with a fruitful and abundant crop. Which entirely the opposite of what a lawn is, a fruitless crop that takes a lot of money to upkeep. I don’t see the logic in it at all. But have fun with that 😂
ОтветитьIs it better to treat for clover before raising nitrogen levels or raise nitrogen and then treat for clover?
ОтветитьWhen is a good time to kill clover?
ОтветитьThe surfactant is not on Amazon now. Where can I find it?
Ответить@the lawn whisperer Can you use a product like triad select and seed in a short time frame?
ОтветитьMy last dog died at 2 from a cancer linked to herbicide, which my mom sprayed constantly. I loved that dog. Told her not to use that junk
Ответитьunless you remove the clover bulbs all this is just a wast of time because it will come back in 3 months...
ОтветитьHow nice…. Your lawn will look great and you can enjoy it for a few years before you die of cancer
ОтветитьDandelions and clover are beautiful blooming in a lawn, honey bees love them. Kill so called weeds, take away food for bees.
ОтветитьCan i still put the lawn mowings on my compost afternoon please?
ОтветитьCan i use baby shampoo as a surfactant?
ОтветитьLooking forward to the day when this sort of monoculture lawn goes out of style. When people realize how insane it is to be spraying this stuff around.
ОтветитьCan I use this on Bahia Grass ?
ОтветитьCould you be kind to help recommend products in the UK to kill clover and dandelion ? major weedy problem after moving into a house. like pretty major. someone recommended the whole garden is dug up 3 meters deep ???????
ОтветитьWhy anyone would want to kill clover is beyond me. It's a nitrogen-fixing cover crop. Just let it do its thing.
ОтветитьI am new to this what do I do after killing weeds
ОтветитьHow can I keep bugs/spiders put of my lawn ?
ОтветитьI have some low IQ people on my street that say clover is good for the lawn. They do to some garden club that says use clover not grass. Do you have any idea on how to respond to them?
ОтветитьYou kill fireflies, beneficial organisms, and expose your family to carcinogenic chemicals as well
ОтветитьBees rely on clover as their first food in the spring. We need bees to pollinate our food. Maybe it is better just to keep the clover.
ОтветитьOr how to help kill bees, support horrible corporations, and poison your land. Try planting clover instead. Helps your soil and attracts pollinators.
ОтветитьI prefer t zone. That is the only thing so far that ive found to clear out creeping charlie and a bunch of other random weeds. Not better or worse. Just my own opinion.
ОтветитьMonoculture is unstable. Clover is part of a healthy lawn.
ОтветитьWould you mind sharing a link to the hand drill liquid mixer that you use? Thanks
ОтветитьClover is bee food
ОтветитьProbably not the greatest place to ask. But why don’t the chemical folks just sell the herbicide with surfactant in there?
ОтветитьYou wear a shirt that says uncomplicated. All you had to say was poison the clover.
ОтветитьI don't worry about getting rid of any of the dandelions nor the clover that grows in my yard. The reason why is is because dandelions brings up out of the ground all the vital nutrients that your grass needs to thrive once it has achieved that the dandelions will die off and never come back until your soil becomes alkaline again. Clover is beneficial in several ways the first way is it puts nitrogen back in the ground secondly the flowers on the clover is beneficial to all of the pollinators for making honey another benefit of clover is if you have rabbits or chickens they love eating the clover.
