what is the problem if the higher part of the touchscreen is not working? a week ago i changed the battery and when i turned it on the higher part of the touchscreen was not working, the LCD has no damage and neither the glass. Is it due to some cable I forgot to attach properly or is it possible that the only touch screen got broken at some point? Could somebody help me?

Wish I had seen your video sonner. I've done the procedure without taking the screen off the frame and prying the glass with a cutting knife.
I broke the lcd completely.

Your procedure is, in my opinion far more failproof.

Looking / not looking forward to trying it hahahaha.

When opening phone and removing connectors etc. use plastic tools as much as possible, e.g. thin guitar picks & spudgers, avoid knives and metal spudgers.

Hey there question you put the glass and screen on a wood block what was actually happening because I noticed you were ripping glue off from one side?

you have an amazing amount of patience, i've done this before on other phones and it always winds up with glass in my fingers, burns, and solvent in the cuts, whatever you charge for this service is not enough lol. more than anything im impressed that you were able to do this without discoloring the display that takes a lot of practice.

I have a nexus 6P with the front glass needing replacement. I don't think I can get this procedure executed on my own. I reached multiple stores in Hyderabad but all of them insisted on changing the display in total. Could you help me about your whereabouts or any references in Hyderabad who can get this fixed ?

If the glass is already cracked can you just remove it piece by piece and replace new one without removing anything?

I changed the battery on mine last night, with the right tools and a heat gun it only took 30 mins. Thinking of replacing the glass as well. Great video!

i dropped my nexus 6p and the screen cracked inside .it seems the outer screen is intact.
one side of the screen went black but the touch worked both in afftected and unaffected side.The nxt day whole screen went black but the touch still worked can u guys say which part need to be replaced????

Thanks for the process but my goodness you destroyed the Frame and edge on that poor phone. I recommend you spend the extra money and get digitizer and glass together!
