Let's face it nobody does it better than Ron Swanson. His introduction is perfect. I love the smile on his face as he walks out of the house and breaks into Home Depot. "That was fast." The song is so fitting for this scene.

What a great clip! Ol' Bill's got everything he needs for at least a little while. Chickens, vegetables, gas for the stove. Even a generator for electric power. Smart move. I like how this guy thinks of pretty much everything.

Look this was a great scene, got me hooked in the way it went from one fix to another. Was waiting for him to do some heavy hitter damage on some zombies then it went he was hitting something else lolz

Stupidest episode ever. The game never mentioned anything about him being gay or straight and they want to take a whole episode in5o an lgtqb soap opera

I didn’t like this episode too much. But it has the same problem as the next one. Too many characters that are one-off characters we never see again get these long drawn out backstories that never happened in the game only to die by the end of the episode. The bad guys in Kansas City got like half the screen time of that episode to get us to know our villain… just to watch her get eaten anyway. We get to know Bill and Frank much more… just for both of them to already be dead by the time Joel and Ellie arrive. The show decided to act less like a video game by having more human scenes and fewer zombie fights. Fewer action sequences. I get that action sequences are difficult and cost money, but I’m only on episode 5 I think… and I’m struggling to keep watching because I worry about that repetition of: 1. Get to know some random character from the game a little better, and then 2. Watch them die. Character development of characters that we’ll actually keep watching is much better imo. Spend more time on Joel and Ellie. If the end of the season is going to have them be close enough for Joel to doom the world for her, I’d have liked to see more of them just walking around and fighting zombies and humans together, rather than a 40 minute flashback into Bill’s life, when it honestly doesn’t advance the plot at all. I like Nick Offerman. I chuckled at how close his character seemed to Ron Swanson. But with only 9 episodes, to have most of an episode devoted to a character we’ll never meet and whose sole purpose story-wise is to give them some guns and a car (which they’ll lose in an episode anyway), it’s a waste of space. Gonna try and finish the season today but unsure if I can.

Edit: okay. Episode 6 has saved this show a bit for me. It was all about Joel and Ellie and building their relationship. Finally. And then the end when the bad guys show up too, finally some raiders to deal with. Might not be infected, but it’s got a game-like feel to it with them being stealthy and having some faceless enemies to fight. Not bad, show. Not bad at all.

Let's be honest, the homosexuality was added by the writers of the game to lock in wins for awards.

But like others I dont think it's an agenda. It's just haughty ppl trying to look more punk than other haughty ppl in their circles and got lost in the sauce.

I wish class/hierarchial issues were more central to the stories than super personal nature of relationships. I think it create more taboo not less. As people just get their fix from fantasy so theyll not need to communicate with each other about personal relationships. Creates room for evil to seep into those conversational vacuums.

If i ever end up collecting guns it's mostly for people who are defenseless during an zombie outbreak... All i really need is shotgun/ two pistols/ 30 yat 6 for myself
