"... I think we're going to be here quite some time."
ОтветитьI hate this idea. A companion "club", sure, but this idea that all the doctor's companions are like, traumatized and can't cope with having traveled around the universe instead of coming back enriched, it just strikes me wrong.
ОтветитьI'm not a fan of Chris Chibnall's writing, but I have to admit that "The Companion Support" group is both a billiant AND tragic idea.
Tragic that companions suffering from terrible trauma is so common for The Doctor's companions, they needed to form their own support group; brilliant because it makes so much sense from a worldbuilding standpoint, which further feeds into the tragedy aspect of it.
I literally finished an episode of season 10 and was thinking the companions and others need their own group to chat. Jodie has to come back with better writers, she crushed this episode.
Ответитьthis is a stupid concept. it would have been better served if they were seeing the Doc regenerate. This makes things bad.
ОтветитьFuture UNIT employees
ОтветитьI wanna see 14 show up to one of the meetings and just have a chat with his old companions.
ОтветитьCan you imagine now that Donnas got her memories and the doctors split having another scene with them going to the group ? Mel or Kate have to of told Donna now that shes got her memories
ОтветитьI do more specials of just that group talking about their adventures and comparing notes on the doctor. It was so much fun 20 minute 30 minute episodes are just leaving comparing
ОтветитьThis whole sequence broke my heart, then again 13’s run especially in the end just made me bawl.
ОтветитьIt makes sense that we see most of the old companions since rose is trapped in the alternate universe, jack is god knows where after the whole darlek inccident, including martha and mickey smith after the end of time christmas special, donna with her memories still wiped, amy and rory were already dead due to being sent back in time by the weeping angels, river consiouness still in the closed off library, clara with ashilda in their diner tardis taking the long way round back to galifrey, bill traveling the universe with her gf heather and nardal still on the mondasian ark and now graham, ryan, yaz and dan are back living on earth trying to get their bearings again.
if any previous companions meet the doctor again in the future, i need them to just casually mention this support group. i need to know how the doctor (any of them, but the fifteenth most fittingly ofc) reacts to it lmao
ОтветитьNow on to the real question: who's the wealthy bastard shelling out the rent for that fancy room?
ОтветитьSir Ian Chesterton was not only the first, he was one of the best🤘
ОтветитьI wonder if the other companions will hear that the doctor is staying put for once and visit him. It would probably really help the doctor to heal if he can talk with them. Martha, liquid Bill, time-stopped Clara, and Sarah Janes kids could all visit.
ОтветитьI would have loved to see Luke Smith there sitting in for Sarah Jane, because for sure she would have been there. <3 Elisabeth Sladen
ОтветитьWho is she talking too at the end? The Next Doctor?
ОтветитьGiven how the first doctor pretty much kidnapped his first companions, I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner.
ОтветитьCalling it a support group makes it sound like they are all traumatized post Doctor - which is probably the case but they don't need to be so obvious about it. Lol
ОтветитьGraham is the most BORING companion ever, along with the ragtag group of forgettables that the thirteenth doctor took along with her. Chris Chibnall destroyed the amazing potential of the first female incarnation by having Jodie Withaker play a selfish, awkward weirdo who was constantly out of breath and who always had the same annoying expression on her face, as if she's looking at something nasty.
ОтветитьGuess Kate wasn't lying - considering she does recruit Mel and then later Donna
ОтветитьFINALLY
ОтветитьThis is such a beautiful piece of television.
Ответить"Sorry, did you say her?"
Bless William's heart, it's sad to see one of my favorite Companion's suffering from Dementia.
So, in light of recent episodes, anyone think this little gathering might have two or three more members in the future?
ОтветитьIan's legs be like HER?
Ответить🥹
ОтветитьHow?
Hoow?
Hoooooooooow?
How is this better 60th anniversary special than the one we've got?
It will be fun if 14th come and visit
ОтветитьI feel like the support group should be a series finale moment after Doctor Who has one final adventure across space and time and begins again at the Big Bang.
Ответитьthis is one thing i absolutely love. completely makes sense that past companions would come together and tell eachother stories about their adventures with the doctor. im surprised this is the first time they wouldve come up with this
ОтветитьSpoilers for “the Giggle”
Now after what happened in the latest episode, the companion support group will eventually be informed where the 14th Doctor is currently staying, so hope Donna is prepared to have a number of guests when that eventually happens
I think that the power of the doctor whould've been the anniversary special. hear me out, the companions come back and Sylvester and pete. if they could rewrite this to fit the 60th bring back all of the doctors villains he fought over the years as an alliance like in pandoraica opens and big bang, a full celebration of doctor who
ОтветитьI hope Donna and Rose gets to visit the support group as well after they deal with the Toymaker.
ОтветитьMy head canon is that the Doctor's companions get a minor stipend from UNIT as kind of a small "Thanks for saving the Earth/Galaxy/Universe"
ОтветитьI’m just wondering how they managed to track everyone down. Did they just look up crazy rants on conspiracy websites?
ОтветитьThis would've been the perfect time to bring Martha, Mickey and Bill back (who did managed to get back to earth) even if they were just little cameos
ОтветитьIAN IAN IAN IAN IAN IAN IAN!
ОтветитьI adore this scene so much, Chibnall’s best is his last.
ОтветитьThis was my favourite bits of 13's run. It's such a shame the writing was the way it was for a lot of it, but I'm glad scenes like this could still have an impact.
ОтветитьBest scene in the series
ОтветитьI can just imagine Amy and Rory here. "yeah, so the Doctor is our son-in-law..."
ОтветитьA torchwood team right their
ОтветитьCool scene, but canon breaking. I'm conflicted, because Ian and Barbara never aging and being happily married is a happy ending for them in a way, but it's cool to see Ian again for IRL reasons. Idk
ОтветитьIf Ian Chesterton & Barbara Wright did get married sometime after they got back to Earth in the 20th Century and if they had children, would they tell them about the Doctor or not?
ОтветитьI know this was mostly for the Classic-Who companions, but missed opportunity to have Mickey & Martha there, too.
ОтветитьSay what you will, and I'm not a Whitaker fan, but moments like these are what really makes Doctor Who stand out.
