This is really light and great for summer. Even people who don't like fish will probably enjoy it because of the delicious piccata sauce. The ingredients with gram amounts are in the description along with the print recipe. As always, thanks for liking and sharing our videos.

I cook lemon slices with the COD,and cooking the Lemom slices gives the sauce a better flavor and I finish cooking the COD in the sauce at the end.
This is GREAT MADE WITH MONKFISH TOO...

It was amazing. Thank. you. We were gifted by our neighbors who are traveling the entire State of Alaska a Tremendous box of fresh frozen Fish of all types from Alaska. Cod, Halibut, Rock Fish, and so much Salmon. It was such a great treat to see your video and make the Cod Piccata. ОтветитьI only spooned a bit of the sauce over the fish and the rest I tossed over pappardelle, which I did add grated parmesan and parsley to.
Note to the home chef's - I legit destroyed my kitchen making this lol.
My family liked it but I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce. It had a weird flavour, maybe the capers since I've never cooked with them before. It could have been too that the peel from the lemon slices just made the sauce a bit too bitter.
Shouldn't you add the flour to butter to make a roux , then deglaze, give the alcohol a sec to evaporate, then add stock and reduce??? That's the way I was taught 20 years ago ,

ОтветитьWow, you can get flounder and striped bass? Flounder is a particular favorite but I never see it fresh. Frozen from Walmart, of all the unlikely places, but it’s so much better fresh. Can’t get it anywhere, even the priciest fish markets, of which there are only a scant number of them remaining where I live on the west coast. Love cod and flounder= scrod.
ОтветитьPeople always say cod is “mild.” I think it’s very flavorful, more than most fish. That’s why I love it. ONLY east coast cod though, not pacific or ling cod or black cod or anything else. There really isn’t anything else that can beat the wonderful flavor of Atlantic cod- the real deal!
