Tbh I do some of these things in London too~
ОтветитьI'm Japanese and when I come back to Japan, pretty much the opposite things happen!! Like eating something that's not greasy, using credit cards much more than I used to...shaking hands with people...saying "hey" to friends....I don't walk into houses with my shoes on though lol
ОтветитьI spent only a month in Japan, but could relate to some things, especially bowing all the time, using japanese words and comparing everything. I miss Japan already!
Ответитьlol good skit, I loved it. I still can't believe people bow even over the phone.
ОтветитьI relate to the last one lol xD (I live in Japan now thought)
ОтветитьThese are all so true especially the bowing one lol
Ответитьbeen here sixteen years and when I visit home I do all those
ОтветитьMax, my house has the same flooring where I take off my shoes where you did in the skit. I kind of freaked out!
Ответитьholy dragonballs! haha xD
Ответитьthe escalator is definitely a big one for me. But in Maryland people do the same thing with the escalator thing as japan, but flipped
ОтветитьHoly dragon ballz
ОтветитьI can relate to the escalator. In Japan I kept telling my Mom you are on the wrong side. Now that I'm back I tell her the same thing... you are on the wrong side...but wait is it me that's on wrong side? left side? right side? I now wear a look of confusion as a ride US escalators :-)
ОтветитьHi Max,
I can so relate.....again!
Although I lived in Japan most of my years, everytime I go back to the states just so impressed by the cup sizes lol
I'm gonna follow you on IG! (My ID is sophitan if you'd like to follow me too :))
I have the exact same headband as you do... Hanging the same way, albeit mine isn't on a katana.
ОтветитьI was stationed in Japan for several years and loved every moment. Heck met my wife their, so 21 years and 4 kids later we always love going back to Japan to see family. I work for a Japanese company so go back for training once in a while but never had anything in US that i really missed. I always could not wait to go back to Japan and go to Mr. Donuts or get a teriyaki burger from McDonald's. LOL.
ОтветитьI kept on slipping よろしくお願いします all the time when I came back from Japan.
It's so convenient!
Haha, there is so much I can relate to. I think I bowed quite a bit when I first got back and there are times where I have accidentally replied to others in Japanese.
ОтветитьYAy!!! you like utada hikaru lol
ОтветитьUTADA HIKARU!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI get kinda depressed when I come back to America, the junk food is worse and the security at the airport are so rude 😅😂
ОтветитьI am always bowing when I get back haha
ОтветитьNumber 5!!! Totally!! :D
ОтветитьI'm looking so forward to watch movies soon after they've been released when I go back home :D It's killing me. I watched Kingsam before I got to Japan over half a year ago and it's been just released in Japan this week.... What's that even :'D
ОтветитьEven though I have never been to japan (dang it~~!! ToT) I can actually relate with using japanese words by accident, because right now I am too much wrapped up with japanese stuff that I just keep talking to myself in japanese (hmm.. weird) and by accident using some words out loud. Strange hobby of mine hehe
ОтветитьI ALWAYS do the shoe one! Poor ankles due to injury, tiny feet, inherited flat feet, high arches, and genetic arthritis! So, I can't wait to get my shoes off!!! Sometimes the pain is so bad that if it's late enough when I get to my apartment I take them off when I get to my floor!
ОтветитьLmao.. Same here!
ОтветитьAll of them are so true !!!!
ОтветитьOMG the shoes and the bowing. I go to a friends house I take off my shhoes, Friend: "You dont need to take off your shoes (?)".
Ответитьhahaha
Ответитьthat was funny XD
ОтветитьI will be going to Japan for Study abroad (Early April until the end of June) and because I have been studying the language and culture I already do a few of these things (Take off my shoes, use Japanese words etc.).
ОтветитьAnd what happen when you visit your friends in Canada? Do you get your shoes off?
Ответитьomg the last one is me! Japan is all I ever talk about.
Ответитьthese videos are hesterical!
ОтветитьCrabtree Mall!!!
Ответитьhahaha so funny!!
ОтветитьThis one was very accurate 😂 Ugh i already miss going back to japan
ОтветитьNC STATE REPRESENTTTTT
Ответитьha ha ha ha! I did almost all when I came back from JP. ha ha ha ha
Ответитьdone all of these except for the karate one. ive actually given dirty looks to people on "the wrong side" of the escalator...
Ответитьdwaaa ur adorable~ lol
ОтветитьI can relate, hahah 😂
ОтветитьI spent over a month a month in Japan. This is very relatable. Great vid, Max! ^_^
ОтветитьOMG Crabtree Mall hasn’t changed since 2015
ОтветитьDude, You forgot to say ‘ittadakimasu’ before eating that burger. That’s not cool bro
ОтветитьBeen back from Japan for over 2 months now and I still find myself lowering my head a bit when I say thank you to people xD
Ответитьhaha how did you not get good burgers in tokyo? Tokyo's burgers kill everything in the states
ОтветитьSoooo true. Great vid 👍🏼
ОтветитьHaha this just came up on my suggested and I love you for including that Utada Hikaru throwback 🥺💕
