People who actually play games actually don't want to pirate games... It is the overly controlled environment of the purchased versions of the games that encourages piracy...
This is like the age old debate of Control vs. Free Will... Where the developers want to control our experience, whereas we dont want them to...
They just have to be happy we pay for the games and not control our experience... And boom... Piracy will heavily decline...
Also, note to woke developers... Don't fill art with propaganda... This will also decrease the incentive to pirate since pirated games are easy to mod... And mods can be used to remove those bullshit...
You are condoning piracy simply by making this video. Yes, you said it was illegal, but you never actually said it was sinful. Which it actually is DESPITE illegality, not because of it
ОтветитьUntil Denuvo finally goes bankrupt many of those denuvo protected games will become abandonware and cannot be played without having to pirate.
If certain game developers do remove denuvo from their games this would make games better.
Having a DRM server outage is a terrible thing for many DRM protected games cant play a game a player legally purchased.
Steam's built in DRM should be removed.
ОтветитьA year out, and the games caught up in sucking
ОтветитьTIL that being broke makes me a "categorically superior" gamer.
ОтветитьAs some one form a third world country it was almost impossible to buy games back in the day. We used to buy cheap pirated copies of GTA Vice City and San Andreas at around 2 or 3 Dollars. Even now I have to emulate things like Legend of Zelda and pirate rom because Nintendo Switch and other consoles are hard to find in country. There are games I will gladly pay money for If I could.
ОтветитьCurrently, I own Cubase. But I remember back when I was in my teens, I was just playing around with music making and downloaded a pirated version of Cubase SX (I think it was v3.5 or thereabout) by this cracking group called "H2O." The licensed software came with a USB dongle that the software constantly queried. H2O removed all of these queries (obviously, because otherwise you'd still need the dongle). IIRC, they reported that their version was 30+% faster. Also, they fixed some bugs in the software, and wrote how to fix it in their NFO, so that Steinberg (the software company behind Cubase) could fix it themselves. Ever since then, I've been actively favoring cracked software over legit software, even as I've been buying it.
ОтветитьIts funny hearing about how people cant wait to play a game right away. Meanwhile i just finally started assassins creed 3 as i remeber hearing about it a decade ago and finally decided it might be fun to have some edutainment regarding american history.
I also have a copy of red dead redemption 2 i bought a year ago but couldnt play (long story) for years later when i eventually decide to get a ps4 on the cheap
Im proud to say i keep a roms n emulators collection on external hd and usb sticks to make sure i always have local access to a collection of games. Modern classics i cant know if they will survive or not, but at least im assured that chrono trigger, ffvi, super mario 3 etc will always be playable to me even if the internet goes down forever
ОтветитьI always pirate video games
ОтветитьA fitgirl repack is like a honda civic with a cat delete, straight pipe muffler and cold air intake. Better gas mileage, more horsepower, because unnecessary factory junk is removed and performance improved.
ОтветитьSo if a game is cracked, one could actually own it and play it 50 years from now? Hardware advances aside. I'm assuming the pirates would update ways to play obsolete software. But that's more or less correct ain't it?
Ive always been interested in it. But never actually done it. So I can play ff7 and nier on my deathbed.
I don’t think devs get that we rlly don’t care so much abt the price
Take Xbox 360 demos for example, piracy was halved from then to now
Thanks for encouraging piracy for me
ОтветитьThese DRM softwares are total ass because it takes less than a week for some east european hacker to crack that thing so everyone can play the game.
ОтветитьWonder how long it'll be before I gotta soft mod my current consoles (PS3, 360, on up) just to play the games I already have? I'll most definitely do it.
ОтветитьI remember buying a Quake disk still in its cardboard sleeve... and it was a demo disk.... and then you could run a crack program on it cuz the demo disk had the full game..... and I find it funny that IdSoftware is still relevant in this discussion 30 years later.
ОтветитьCan I make a comment?
ОтветитьPirate AAA games ,buy indie games.
Simple as.
@Upper Echelon Gamers hey calling them "Hackers" is okay but they really just want to be called "Cracking Scene Developers". most of them CPY, Reloaded, FitGirl, FLT, etc. don't like being called hackers cause they don't do anything malicious to the user's PC they only "Crack" or "Obfuscate" the drm of the program
Ответитьthe funny thing is that we would love to be able to pay for DRM free games, ie. GOG. I have this same issue when it comes to movies and shows, the user experience from just being able to download the movie and play it on whatever software you want, consistently at the same quality like a physical copy, is a way better experience than streaming services where they don't have what you want to begin with, and specifically with Prime they have all these sub-subscriptions they want you to pay for, then they can just arbitrarily decide to remove things from the library. Imagine you had a shelf of DVD's but you never know what you actually own, and the actual video quality is random. You can't even set it to HD and let it buffer on any of the services i've seen.
Ответитьi only buy indie games where i can be shure that the money is going to go to the devs and not share holders, most if not all AAA game companies pay their devs a salary and you buying it wont ad money to their pockets, instaling a cracked game is easyer than instaling some software you already installed, updates are all there, im now playing on my old ps3 all games are hacked and with updates, online works right out the pirate ship
ОтветитьThanks for your voice on this matter
Ответитьi ended up pirating allot of games that i own the original copies of because of DRM issues . RDR2 as an example . if the weather is a bit bad the game wont authenticate my license . so it prettymuch locks me out of my own game over and over again when my internet connection goes down . and since its wireless it happens allot . especially during the rainy seasons
ОтветитьSort of reminds me of the "Sony Music" debacle which ended up destroying the music industry. Sony Music included so many protections in their CDs/DVDs that most players would not be able to read the content. Or, which was even "funnier," sometimes your disk reader would play the CD normally, other times it would give an instant error, and that was that. Things got so bad that even musicians, and strong supporters of the "art" form, started using torrents instead of buying broken products, and the rest is history.
The Gaming industry is in desperate need of such an implosion, just to get itself back on track and stop being so obnoxious to everyone, including game developers.
Batman: Arkham Knight. I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that the pirated version ran better and/or had fewer launch issues. What I DO remember unequivocally, is that the DLC they announced would come 6 months after release, was included day 1 in the pirated version.
ОтветитьDenuvo sucks shit, I bought a legit copy of RE3 Remake and it runs WORSE than the pirated version I played the most. Feels like shit to be rewarded with an objectively worse experience than the non-legit version I have.
ОтветитьGuys what was that song when you where pirating games i believe the crack was hi2u or battery
ОтветитьLast game I "pirated" was Resident Evil Village. Bought the game on Steam because I love the RE games and want Capcom to make more. Game had some awful stutters due to Denuvo and Capcom's own DRM. As soon I downloaded a cracked copy of the game. The stutters was gone and the game ran silky smooth.
Piracy will always be a better experince than a "retail" copy.
DRM is anti-consumer.
pirated copies are also rfee as opposed to their original counterparts.
ОтветитьYou do not own your games if you cannot copy the files and move them as you like, or play them without being online. Pirating is a good thing for society at this point.
ОтветитьIf I Can Have a Game But When They Pirated It A Error Shows Up I'll Put Error In Hidden Files In My Game So They Won't Be Able To Pirate my game
ОтветитьI just buy the game in steam and play the pirated copy
ОтветитьI’ll still never understand how Pirates get Internet from their ships to share these softwares online. I also think it’s a little suspicious how movies like Pirates of the Caribbean & Peter Pan completely tiptoe around online piracy and online focus on their real world endeavours.
ОтветитьThat's why thank God GOG!
Ответитьand the best part too with parited games you need to worry of delete from stores like bought digital games and that's how the scott pilgrim was fir xbox that it got deleted and was gone for a while off the store
ОтветитьAll of my pirated games came from EA. Not because I'm not willing to pay but I really hate EA. That's my way of revenge. But I do purchase games that came from Indie developers.
ОтветитьIf you wanna support the developers, just buy the game and then use a pirated copy, you technically have a license to use the software at that point and are morally and ethically in the clear.
Ответитьthe fact is running a pirate copu is easier no launcher, no 3rd partu junk, no constant online random game crash because wifi. its just easier
Ответитьu look over the economical aspect adding drm removes budget and time that could have gone to polishing instead adds to bugfixing due to drm. the cost of drm is transfered to the user so a 20$ game becomes 30$ there are dussins of studies proving piracu have 0 impact on sales and drm doesnt increase sales.
ОтветитьThis is nothing new. I download almost every game I play, "illegally". I do still pay for most of them, especially from small developers. But they are so much better. Faster, no denuvo, no always online, and compressed repacks allow me to archive my games more easily. I can download a nice beast package of a game that's half the size of the official copy, sometimes even as little as a quarter the size.
ОтветитьI always wondered why Metro Exodus took so long to load lol
ОтветитьThe problem is that if companies can’t use DRM then how should they prevent piracy of their games? A lot of games in the last 10 years or so have had massive piracy problems and it does hurt profits for companies if 30% to 40% of people that play your game didn’t pay for it!
ОтветитьWhen sailors ship you a game faster then the officials
Ответитьgamedev tycoon's pirated copy pretty much cause you to fail due to piracy
ОтветитьDRM like Denuvo is functionally fraud as it interferes with people using their lawfully purchased property, it should be outlawed in no uncertain terms. Corpos have proven themselves to be pathological control freaks and will never give up this immoral and unethical practice unless forced to, so let's apply said force already, because the longer we wait the more potentially irreparable damage it does.
ОтветитьAnother thing, we need public domain, to allow commercial paid games to be downloaded for free without being piracy.
Thanks to movie and music companies, copyright was extended from 56 years to 95 years in USA, and 70 years after death if the owner is a person, we aren't having public domain videogames until the year 2067.
