Best WordPress Hosting Compared - Real Results Revealed (Shocking!)

Huge thanks for this web hosting insight! Ive used Hostwinds and GoDaddy, however Cloudways with TST20 c oupon is the true wallet-saver.

@JackCao what do you think of hosthuski? i find them to be the fastest imo.

SPEED = Excellent SUPPORT = Meh. I clicked on your link and signed up with them 2 1/2 weeks ago. Their server speeds are great. Way better than my siteground speeds. I really related to what you were saying, having already tried my best to optimize, but still getting subpar results. I have websites scoring way better on pagespeed insights, Pingdom and GTMetrix. HOWEVER...Their support is... well, at least you can submit a ticket. That is the only reliable way to communicate with them. Real Time support on either phone or live chat is sometimes good, and sometimes really bad. I have been kicked off the live chat queue multiple times with no notification, and had to re-enter the queue with between 60-90 wait times. Yesterday I waited about 45 minutes in the live chat queue before finally getting a chance to speak with support. I have waited 20-40 minutes before either being hung up on in phone support, or requesting a call-back and never getting one. I don't even try to call phone support now. For features on paper, A2 Hosting is definitely the clear winner. I really wanted A2 Hosting to be amazing. If you can do most things on your own and phone or live chat support isn't important to you, then sure, sign up. But they shouldn't say they have phone and live chat support if it is so unreliable. Or at least include a disclaimer.

@JackCao: I'll second @billydoesoz -- would love to know how A2 is working out for you in 2023 - Did they live up the the promise? What are some things you wish you had known before switching? Is there any bonus or fringe benefits that you were pleasantly surprised by? Would you still recommend A2 today?

BUT if you have an e-commerce website with 30K pages the speeds are different as you will need a VPS or better server.

I would have liked to see some other metrics weighed into the decision. Particularly global nodes. These tests were based on your results from the manual and virtual locations. If someone wants to reach a global audience, the results aren’t necessarily valid/complete. The other major metric is backend UI (kind of subjective if scored, but important to consider). Thanks!

Jack, Ultahost has awful support. I had a site that wouldn't let me log in. I asked 3 or 4 times through email. They always sent me an email asking for my login information. I sent it and nothing. After 24 hours I left the account and went to another host. The new host fixed everything. I don't recommend Ultahost at all.

Can you compare hostinger shared plans with their cloud plans and see if it it's worth it?

Very impressive. You sure did a lot of work to get them completed. Question: Do you still feel that A2 Hosting is the right way to go? The reason why I am asking is that the videos are about 1 year old and since I am looking into moving my domains from SiteGround, I just wanted to check with you to see if A2 Hosting is still your best choice OR have you discovered anything new with regards to better/best hosting companies. A2 Hosting is almost 2-3x more expensive than dreamhost or the others after 3 years. So I dont think its the best choice!

Why upcloud isn’t in the list?

I think you need to add the technical support to that review they will get worst ranking

I have had Dreamhost for a few years but they increased my monthly bill for some reason. Now they are taking over $28/month! They made no prior warning it was going to more than double. Also, the back end doesn't look like any other hosting c-panel I have seen. Finally, it says free SSL but I have yet to see it applied to my site. I got Let's Encrypt and still my site says Not Secure. Support takes a day or two to respond. I came here because I am ready for another host.

Hey Jack, your channel has really great content and insights, thank you so much for that! The only areas that I think you could improve are the lighting (your key light is a bit harsh and should be softened, you could also add a rim light), the framing (the camera could be placed a bit lower to prevent vertical distortion) and the background (maybe it is too close from your back, maybe have something else instead of the huge shelf?). Apart from that, everything's fantastic: sound, content, energy...

Jack for shared hosting you should take in account inodes limit too. Some providers just hide it (on 1st view, at least) to trick visitors and push them to upgrade later on.

This is such a comprehensive comparison. Can I ask your opinion on hosting a simple business web on the Google cloud platform? and will you consider hosting your business web on GCP and why? Thanks, man!.
