You didn't try wrath runes... which means you need Fremenik. I got this thing and just unlocked wrath runes... will let you know if it gets better.

I feel like davriels elephant is weird because it would be soooooo too good in normal osrs, but because it has comparisons of the current range and melee builds it looks bad.
Does not help that it comes from what I view as objectively one of the hardest echo bosses (dks has harder prayer swaps but does not require moving at the same time and can be entangled, cerb is the exception from what I have seen)

I would actually be a huge fan of this if I had a way to get the wrath spells without going frem. But I already unlocked desert and morytania, so if I go kandarin third, I'll be stuck with wave spells, which just doesn't feel that great

I feel like that item should've been a book slot or something like that, then add a new spell that uses all elements, make EVERY monster weak to that spell.

Hi noob here, I took Kandarin because of access to paladins and hero.

Paladins can be pickpocketed for hard scrolls (3-4 of them together in ardy castle for dodgy deals)

Hero’s give unique scrolls also so the area was a big help for points to unlock new relics

im in mostly max mage and the devils element still falls flat. it's not much better than ice barrage unless something has a 50% weakeness and a low magic level , and those monsters are very few and far between. also, morytania got access to a blood talisman in a shop, but kandarin cant get to the wraith altar. bruh

I went mage in trailblazer leagues, and I wasn't happy about the autocasting took an extra tick to start attacking. Until you get a powered staff, it was essentially 3 tick if you had to move alot like in tob or toa

The best use I found for it is during Cox CM raids on Ice Demons. My max hit is 154 with fire surge. I wish I would have never chosen Kandarin and instead would have chosen desert or morty

I agree that it definitely could have used some buffing, but I'll never get tired of hitting 120s on mithril dragons lol

Yeah i burnt the acc that i chose kandarin on, i wemt in blind to this leagues wanting to build a mager... got scammed hard as kandarin was not the choice, ah well live n learn went frem wildy des on the new build, im done with it now had my fun but leagues dont hit as hsrd as the first trailblazer.. time for em to do something differnt with leagues 3x trailblazer variations is a bit overkill

Kandarin actually should’ve been a free region this league. I can’t see why anyone in their right mind that’s going for bis would pick it when echo dks nullify all the zenytes, and all the bosses that drop upgrades that are tied to kandarin don’t need those items, like toxic trident / rancour. Like even if you wanted to get a fighter torso as part of your route, varlamore has blood moon armor which took me 2-3 hours to fully complete starting from sulphur blades + using a barrel chest anchor on eclipse boss. It just makes no sense

Elemental weaknesses are great for early game, not once you have 93 slayer and can farm an echo boss

They should put it in the main game with 2% magic damage, but bryophyta should drop it

Portable Fountain of Rune + Everyting has ele res + at least 10% magic damage conus would make this a usable item

The Devil's Element just simply doesn't do enough. Keep in mind that all of the echo items were meant to compete (if not be better than) their BIS counterparts and this one just really doesn't. Compare it to the other echo items:
Drygore Blowpipe - Competes with the Tbow (and is better in some situations)
Dogsword - Woof
Thunder Khopesh - BiS Spec Weapon for DPS, by far. If paired with specialist competes with, and often beats, Scythe for BiS melee weapon full stop.
Thousand Dragon Ward - BiS defensive shield, and better than Avernic Defender for offensive melee off-hand
Gloves of the Damned - BIS melee gloves + Boosts Barrows sets + Frees up Amulet slot (no need to wear Amulet Of The Damned)
Amulet of the Monarchs - BiS Amulet full stop
Emperor Ring - BiS Ring full stop
Crystal Blessing - BiS Ammo Slot for Melee full stop
Nature's Reprisal - Very good option for Tri-brid and uniquely gives players a 7 range melee weapon. Useful for literally all content
Sunlight Spear - BiS melee weapon for aoe mobbing (only beaten out by the combo of Khopesh + Specialist)
Sunlit Bracers - BiS Ranged gloves. Very good option for Melee gloves (beaten only by Gloves of the Damned). BiS for healing boosting not only food but also special effects such as Guthans and Blood Fury

Devil's Element - Struggling to compete with Elidinis' Ward (or) for BiS off-hand slot. Elemental bonus isn't useful is a lot of end-game content due to many end-game monsters not actually having elemental weaknesses. The infinite runes is also not all that useful since all characters (regardless of mastery choices) get 95% rune saving, and its only elemental runes, not *all* runes.

The Devil's Element should have given all runes for free, completely replacing the need to bring a rune pouch, and on top of that, it should have given a significant accuracy bonus and/or completely prevented you from hitting 0's vs something that you were hitting against its weakness. On top of that it should have at least some defensive stats instead of all zeros. And all of that would let it compete with Shadow.

Shouldve been a ammo slot item (like a blessing) instead of off-hand and just given a small straight up magic damage % boost along with the elemental weakness gimmic for it to be even close to competitive with other relics.

Devils lettuce would have been ideal in the ammo slot.. just saying. Aint no mage using that slot for anything

Unlimited 4 runes wow bro... stingy much? Should've figured out your elemental weakness shit before leagues or just made it all mobs. You can't be that clueless as devs and of course they won't change anything during leagues. Balance mistakes happen, but instead of addressing it you have your mods troll in discord by hinting secret game changing Kandarin reveal that never existed... like are you good? Theres no way killing thermy is 30 points but a smoke devil is 80 wtf 😂 Then why in the hell does the echo item ONLY give 6% magic damage and no kinda pvm in Kandarin even has elemental weakness besides a few slayer mobs they really screwed up and I wouldn’t blame the 4.8k people that chose Kandarin to quit osrs altogether after this league 😂😂

They should've made theelement give different bonuses for different elemental spells. Like make earth reduce defence, water leech hp, air give you a chance to cast echo spells, fire give a chance to buff next spell. Be a true elemental mage spamming all the elements.
