ОтветитьIf you are overweight? do you still need to use weights or can you use your body weight until you become stronger. I don't have the funds for the ankle weights
ОтветитьI am 72 years of age, a carer for my wife, I also take care of our gardens, I also play bowls - I am constantly on the move daily - So my old muscles are fine! But every morning my left knee wakes me up after 3 hours of sleep! Yet once I start walking, the pain goes away? So what can I do too stop this pain each morning?
ОтветитьSorry, but 63 year old MCL and ACL can’t be strengthened. With or without muscle.
ОтветитьThank you soooo much. I realize I have become more dormant over the last couple of years. And I would get nervous, when trying to get back into working out when I hear a popping noise in my knee. but this video gives me hope. I love your gentle approach. ❤
ОтветитьGanz Toll!!!
ОтветитьI am 70 and have severe arthritis in the knees. My left knee recently collapsed after doing quad/hamstring exercises and is now suffering what the orthopedic is calling a severe arthritic flare up. Other You Tube videos by PT specialists suggest strengthening glutes as a way to compensate and say do not strengthen quads/hamstrings as that puts pressure on the kneecap, pulling it. Do you agree? Love your channel!!!

ОтветитьI had a meniscus tear for years, like 15 years (I injured it when I was a teenager) and I was able to run 5-6 miles a day into my late 20s. When quarantine started, I stopped running as much and after 2 years, my knee had started to hurt again. Unfortunately my ortho suggested I get an MRI and when the results came back, she told me to stop running and get surgery. In the next few months while waiting for surgery and NOT EXERCISING, my knee pain got worse and worse and worse. In fact, most of my other joints started getting pain where I never had it before. I also tore my right meniscus one day just getting up from the couch. I didn't realize it then but it was because of the lack of activity. I ended up getting a meniscectomy and the surgeon removed 95% of my meniscus. In the next few months, as I tried to get back into exercising and running, and because my muscles had atrophied so much, I ended up grinding away what was left of my meniscus as well as my lateral femoral condyle. I had to have two follow up surgeries - a diagnostic to confirm the damage, and a meniscus transplant. I'm about 4 weeks out from my transplant and my left leg looks like a chicken leg because I haven't been allowed to bear weight and all my quads and hams are gone... The next few weeks of PT is going to be really hard but I intend to make sure I build the muscle back up so I can get back to running. Thanks for the inspiration and advice on taking it slow as I think I've aggravated my issues by always trying to jump back in to the pace and distance I used to be able to do.
ОтветитьUse it or lose it?, sorry pal utter bollocks. Ive spent the last 43 years working in the construction industry, no sitting about for me. I was also a big runner until i reached 50, both my knees are shot and it aint from not doing anything. I still work but cannot run anymore, every day is pure pain.
ОтветитьGod bless you dear ❤
