Alright, I just finished watching Autodale for the first time. And it is absolutely horrifying. This series genuinely gave me chills, and is by far the best webseries that I have ever watched. 10/10, will watch this masterpiece again.

2 years late on this but I have to say this is one of the best dystopian stories I’ve ever seen. It has such a well built universe and plot, not to mention the fantastic art style. 10/10

Wow...Just...Wow!

The "Mayor" is an intriguing character for me. He HATES what he did but he believes it necessary. To keep both himself and the people who live in Autodale safe from the disease that ravaged the world. That they are the ONLY life left.

The thing is...the Freaks. LIVING PROOF that life went on! Without his "necessary sins" and the atrocities commited. For me thats why he makes attempts to kill the ones that breach the wall. They're proof that all he did to preserve sentient and intelligent life wasn't needed and he can't live with that!

That makes the Mayor such a good character to me. And the fact that despite his horrific looks he still acts as if he was still HUMAN. Such as when he extended his hand to the Exceptional Girl. I think he doesn't realize how much he has changed.

So if I understood the lore right: the freaks were mutated people and the goddess could heal them. But to keep the goddess alive, they had to feed her the blood of the people. So to make it less bad, they only sacrificed the imperfect people.

I really hope there’s more

I like the autodale animations. They are amazing.

I think the reason that the god started looking more human is either because the blood they put into her or because maybe the inventor hooked himself up to her and that is why she starts to resemble a human

Auto Dale reminds me the old '90s movie Dark City.

He couldn't let her go because of what she knew and I imagine that she was still given a choice because likely the inventor was curios if she would contribute to the city despite the lies and atrocities or would choose death. Regardless she was going to contribute one way or another. Her deciding to help the city was likely the inventor's validation that what he did was right and necessary. However, this kind of hinges on if she was given that choice. It is implied she joined the Hive willingly but she may have been forced which although would prolong the city would not have give the inventor any kind of validation which he needs because the world has moved on without Autodale. Nature has slowly come back and the appearance of the Freaks shows that people will go on. Likely, the Freaks are mutations of humans although we aren't given anything solid except for a few frames of a particular episode but don't want to spoil that. Regardless if humans mutate or not anyone outside of the city is likely seen as a monster due to the thorough brainwashing of the citizens of Autodale.

I bet you the mayor is a freak that transformed himself to look more like regular humans. that's why his face is ripped off, to give himself a normal jawline. And why his entire torso is mutilated, to get rid of the extra arms
