Heroes of Might & Magic 3 MODDING GUIDE! How to install Horn of The Abyss & The Wake of Gods

So Wake of Gods isn't compatible with Horn of the Abyss, right? You can't mix them, and have to choose which one to play?

Do those mods work on ubisofts version or only on GOGs ?

whats purpose of buying GOG game if u are forced to pirate it to use this launcher ? ...

i played the steam HD version over the last years.
But to run the gog complete version, do i need to uninstall the steam version firstly or not?

Copy your heroes 3 folder (the clean installation) so you have two in total. For one folder Install the Sucession Wars update on it, for the other folder install HotA and/or Wog!

Not sure if you'll see this, but when I downloaded the Heroes III HD Mod, it no longer plays the intro cutscene that comes after the New World Computing intro video, which is a shame because I really like it. Do you know a way to fix this? I can't find any solutions online. (It works for the normal exe for some reason, but not when I launch it from the HD launcher)

The last one you can just install on different username, and try to run using that username trough using your main account. Just, hold shift click 2nd mouse-> run as different user. Install again complete heroes 3 on different user account and different disk spot. It will take additional space, but you can just run it also whenever from your main windows account.

The only thing I don't like after installing the mods is that the battles became automated. Is there a way to set it manual again? if I don't accept the results it does let me fight, but I would prefer not to know how the auto battle went before I do it

Reinstalled several times - trying to intall HotA and I get this message: The game may work incorrectyly if it is installed in system folder Program Files. Please, select another folder. You might av to reinstall HOMM3 into another folder in order to continue HotA installation.

Any tips on what I did wrong? Purchased the game on GoG and installed in on the recommended folder without changing anything. Now the messeage stated above says I need to actively change the folder anywas? Any tips?

hi, i think master of puppets is the best, because you can change creatures stats, skills and you have town editor, which is the best if you want to test, how run modded by you.

Hello everyone, I have a problem patching ERAto the latest version 2.924. I did a fresh install of the operating system, Win11, a fresh install of the GOG version of Heroes 3, I installed the HOTA mod successfully, but when I tried to upgrade ERA to the latest version, there was an error when patching. Namely, the installation reaches the file DebugMaps\Angel.dbgmap and stays there, as if checking file integrity 0-100% over and over again.
I tried the whole installation from scratch, without success. Any suggestions please?

I play hota and I downloaded a few templates (one of them is Duel 2.69q) but for some reason I can't see them in the list of templates... I followed the instructions but they don't show up...
Is there any way to fix it?

am i wrong or is this mod separate each other? i mean is it possible to play all the mod together (HotA, ItWoG, MoP)?

first thing: Its not just gog. Uplay (Ubisoft Connect) does offer the complete edition aswell and it works just fine with HOTA.
I didnt test it, but since I didnt install my HOTA with administration rights I guess that you just need the rights if you have your game in program files.

can we install HoA and WoG without HD? Also, do cheats work?

AOPS Patch system getting stuck updating AFTER WoTG install. Says installed version 2.4--------> 2.916. File looping are K:\GOG\Homm3 Complete\DebugMaps\Angel.dbgmap which says its checking file integrity. Im not very computer literate!
