How to repair a roller shutter - Replacing the cord of roller shutters window / strap / belt

Wow, thank you! I have two roller shutters with broken belts and this video is exactly what I was looking for!

I'd appreciate a suggestion as to why the roller barrel comes out of the socket when I use the strap to wind up or down. It's practically the same as the one in your video. Suggestions welcome,thanks.

Thanks man, great vid, simple with no bs included. Any idea why when i pull near the top the strap gets heavier to pull? Maybe i winded too much strap from in the round outside drumm?
