I think a thicker E low-string would help on your chart. Good job!
ОтветитьIs major Pentatonic and minor in same position?
ОтветитьHi I have enjoyed practicing your scales thankyou 😊
ОтветитьGreat lesson
Ответитьi learned the a minor natural shapes first, but always found it awkward soloing. this might help me understand the intervals better, then i can add in the extra notes from the minor scale in when im comfortable with the pentatonic shapes. I always skipped over pentatonic stuff coz I thought it was too easy but just another thing where I jumped the gun lol
ОтветитьDefinately very helpfull video thanks much 🎸🎸😎💯✌️
ОтветитьMy mind just got blewn
Ответитьoh goody
ОтветитьThe diagram and your notes played do not seem to correspond -at least its not clear. Those diagrams are not intuitive -which is the low string which is the high????
ОтветитьThis is a different way to EM pentatonic way I learnt,is there different ways to learn this scale,I learnt 5 positions in different ways
Ответитьlet me break that down for u
ОтветитьHow does these scale works???? I looked on another video where the first scale started at fifth fret
ОтветитьIsn’t this the blues scale though? Sounds like blues to me.

Remember when you play to shred with your full heart and soul because there truly are no wrong notes... there's so many technical guitar players the sewer pipes are clogged with them...
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьBarré chords.
Ответитьbut i only have four strings 🤣
ОтветитьAmazing video, this is pure gold for someone starting off : thanks 🙏
ОтветитьBeen studying this for weeks and was doing great until 11.08 MINS you went back to the 5th fret, I got lost and doubt I can understand where you went at all,?
ОтветитьHi! What is the tune or tabs to the start of the video? Sounds nice!
ОтветитьI want a teli but its too expensive. if its gonna be a Strat or teli its got to be a Mexican fender. I like Epiphone but I don't like squire. Soo much money for a decent fender guitar. Other companies are selling cheaper alternatives so I don't see myself getting the teli any time soon. A guy can dream though.
ОтветитьGreat lesson. Succinct and instructive. Thank you.
ОтветитьScales before chords?
Ответитьafter go through i found its quite simple to understand.thanks a lot
ОтветитьThankyou for making a tutorial that Dosent feel like it’s condescending
ОтветитьWhy doesn’t the G minor follow the same shape as before? I’ve seen different diagrams that follow the same pattern
Ответитьfor a moment there i thought you had a jim root tele
ОтветитьI dont know which one of your fingers is touching what string. Maybe finger numbers on the diagram and a fret number. I just bought a telecaster last week and am learning.
Ответитьthis is the best video i’ve found on on the minor pentatonic scale, an well explains the roots, preciate ya
ОтветитьMind blown! Thank you!
ОтветитьFinally someone who makes sense, the posts up to now don't break it down like this, Thanks
ОтветитьThanks it was helpful
ОтветитьI'm a retired 64 year old man wanting to learn how to play the pentatonic scales; I'll give this a try and let you know how it goes. Wish me luck.
ОтветитьZabardast cheers from Toronto......
ОтветитьSubscribed!!! I have been playing tabs for many years, and never learned scales (Though I know I am playing scales as I play the songs I know). I have been playing the same songs over and over for many years, this opened up a new door - thank you! I took screen shots of the scale layouts, and will practice diligently!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьWhen I saw that Blackstar amp and tele I immediately subscribed and hit the like button! 😂👍🏻
ОтветитьWill every position sound good in the same key you're playing the positions on? Say if you have an Em backing track then you play all those positions up and down, will those E pentatonic positions sound good?
ОтветитьI can't believe I actually worked out the notes within the pattern before you went over them with us.
I thank you very very much for showing us all five pentatonic patterns..AWESOME
Very good informative video...Well Done...you will help alot of players !
ОтветитьGreat lesson. I thin you laid this out really well and I've watched about 50 videos on the five positions of the pentatonic scale. Thank you sir!
Ответитьhey J J Did you have a bother?anyway thank you so much for the lesson.
ОтветитьHow can you tell which dot is open or not?
ОтветитьThis is very confusing..maybe do it in tabs
