August 2023 and still no sign of Wear OS 3, although the watch functions fine as it is...

Does anybody know how can I fix the gps on my ticwatch pro 3 ultra? It doesn't work on any app (weather, maps, fit)

I have the 3 Pro
It doesn't have GPS
It needs a Bluetooth connection with my phone in order to find where I am
It doesn't get anything correct 🤣
It gets my sleep time wrong
Tracking distance wrong
It needs to have navigation running on your phone for you to be able to see it on your watch
My old versa 2 can do that 🙄
There isn't one thing on it that works properly
It says I've only slept 1 hours 32 minutes last night
My versa 2 says 7 hours 54 minutes
You can get full voice navigation on it though
You can navigate from the watch instead of touching your phone
Using a third party app
That's the only reason I'm keeping it
The watch is pathetic don't buy one

NGL, you had me at the end. Wish you had spoken about the IP68 rating, as a good percentage, close to 10%, have had water damage issues. The other thing is when a brand gives sub optimal replies, it's usually a sign to stay away. Thought the 5 pro should be interesting with battery life.

My gripe about the watch is the battery life isn't longer. I personally would like it to be at least 5 days of battery with heavy use and maybe 7 with light. Not the day or day and a half it currently has.

Charging my watch every other day gets annoying when other smartwatches I see do the same as the ticwatch and also have at least about 6 days of battery life with heavy use.

I would love to purchase another ticwatch but they need to massively improve the battery life of the watch.

Don't buy it, I hate saying that. I bought Pro 3 Uktra GPS Fall of 2021 because it was supposed to get the Gear OS3 update in 2022 - March 2023 and still no update, talk of a Ticwatch 5 with the new Gear Os coming out. I would recommend waiting for that, or look at Samsung or Suunto.

I got my ticwatch pro sometime in 2018 I think, and it just started to have issues. so I'm deciding between the ticwatch pro ultra and the pixel watch.

i'm heavily considering getting the ultra as a replacement for my original ticwatch pro which has served me faithfully since 2018.
only issues so far has been the wristband which broke around October last year, so basically 4 years of daily use.
and bigger issue of the charger thing that most likely has died on me for the second time after around 2 years of use on both chargers.
now it took me around a week to get from 2% to 100% of battery, but the battery does still last around 2 days on the smart mode.
so i don't think that the battery is thruly the issue here either.

only usage issue that i have with this watch, is that it takes maybe 30 seconds to the watch to boot to the wear os, BUT! it takes around 10 minutes until it is somewhat usable and i can input my four digit pin to unlock it.
and that bootup if done without the charger, will take somewhere around 5-10% of battery charge with it.
ant it is that initial boot that has made me think of updating to the ultra, instead of trying to fix the charging issues with 40€ 3rd party replacement charger.
maybe if i could get one locally, but i would have to order one through amazon usa warehouse to my european address.
so it would take LOOOOONG time until i would know if it fixed the issue or not.
but if i could get a watch that lasts me 4+ years like the OG pro did, then that 250-270€ price isn't that bad either.

Still waiting for Wear OS 3.x, or even better the Pro 4 to arrive. But no word on when either will occur so I'm still smartwatch-less until then.

Got the 3 for gpay. Due to tattoos it constantly asks for a unlock. My phone gpay works with the screen locked no idea why someone thought I need a lock code on to use gpay its not like the watch has my card details showing inside. The touch vibration is also an annoyance. If i could remove or bypass the pin option i would keep it but as it stands its useless for me so its going back. its a shame its a nice watch
