Idk why do you guys take the death note as an advantage which helped him defeated L in a outsmarting battle. If you say Light knows more about the death note then L has more control on the police, L wouldnt know when he will be killed nor Light would know when he'll be trapped in a settlement made by the police and get caught. Again it is an outsmarting battle, we better consider all the tricks and strategies used by both side to find out who s more intelligent. Therefore, using the point "light has death note, so his victory doesnt mean he s more intelligent" makes no sense. It's also stated in the manga that light is more intelligent tho
