You got to be careful when you go there. Leave your passport at the hotel. It's a big hassle if you lose it or is stolen. Be careful when you get on and off the subway, that's a good place for them to pick your pocket. Whenever some "friendly person" comes up to you be on high alert, get away from the person. Don't talk to them It's always a scam of some sort.
Do not put your wallet in your back pocket always the front.
Italy and Rome does not have the feeling it had 10, 20 years ago. A good portion of the people there have become sullen.

I spent a month in Rome, and it still wasn't enough.

Good video, but please increase the output volume in future videos, I can hardly hear a thing and the captions only work well for native (US) speakers, whose voices it’s trained with. Thank you🙂

Oh, you forgot to mention that Rome is FILLED with graffiti- destroying almost every ancient building, walls and monuments.
Also, Rome is FULL of scammers, pickpockets, thieves and annoying hawkers-EVERYWHERE!
Be careful of the meal (dinner-fixed price) scams, where your final bill will shock and anger you.
Termini, the main train station is a cesspool of scammers, pickpockets and crooks- be careful.
Good luck getting anywhere near the Vatican and St. Peters during tourist season- be prepared to wait for hours- huge lineups!
Oh, Trevi fountain is FAMOUS for pickpockets- exercize EXTREME caution while there.
Just a few of the "truths" of Rome from someone who has been there countless times, but never again.
When posting a video to many unsuspecting potential visitors- it might be wise to inform people of BOTH sides of Rome.
Do your homework before you go- check the thousands of similar videos warning you of the aformentioned perils.

Suggestion for improvement- I felt the background music to start to become irritating/disturbing afer 3-4mins into the video...If it can be turned down a little it would be helpful. Video is informative though and appreciate your time & efforts in putting it together.

To be honest you can not jump the queue going to the Vatican by booking a guided tour, the queue you will see outside is to pass security !

Informative and well shot, but "off the beaten track" generally means things that don't have queues :P Would you happen to have any tips for more contemporary things in the city? I'm thinking beautiful modern architecture; great event spaces/music venues, and things like that.
