I know they do the lamps in the show and I wonder how many times they got beaned in the head with them in early rehearsals. Their trajectory is predictable... if you let them go at the right height and angle.

i saw this in columbus, ohio a couple years ago and when i tell you that this rewired my brain, i mean it. it is still one of the best things I've ever experienced

I saw this for the first time yesterday the full musical and this whole number gave me actual chills because I had no idea how it would actually play out. Such a good musical.

only thing I could critique about his musical is that orpheus was a brilliant singer and musician, i would've liked to see more hypnotising with the instrument. Orpheus strong point was to be a complete musician, he wans't just a lover, he tried to cheat his way to the underworld, because eurydice dies a human way, beaten bya snake, not because she was hungry. She was her muse, that's why he refused to let her go that easily.

I'm not sure if Monteverdi and Gluck are crying tears of joy or anguish right now, but I can tell you this is my favorite take on the Orpheus myth. How can you deny those soulful 1930's jazzy blues vibes?

That ending gave me chills. I love how how Hermes was singing with Orpheas softly when he was like I am not alone. And then Hermes comes to stand with next to him in the end.

This who show is a masterpiece but this scene in particular is my absolute favourite, the music, the choreography, the casting, it's just, impeccable

I saw this and the seats were in the nosebleeds. But my word, I still cried at this enchanting song and knowing how the story went, despite wishing it was different.

the video can't capture how incredibly cool the lights were. as someone who had never looked into hadestown prior to seeing the musical, i was in absolute awe. that's when i knew i loved this musical.

This story is about all of our journeys, we almost let our hearts die and something happens to reawaken them and the story begins again. 😢but so beautiful.

I saw Hadestown in Grand Rapids and this song literally gave me chills. Honestly, I think the GR group was more talented, which is saying a lot!!! Hades' voice was SO deep and sure, Hermes' had the perfect soul, Orpheus' reached insane octaves, the trombonist was GODLY... it was insane.

I normally always cringe at musical songs, but this one is actually just good and the performance was too professional to be cringy

Here is why it's important to respect Reeve Carney:

Is he the weak link of this show? Maybe. But the OBC is STACKED, so being the weak link of a Best Musical is pretty cool.

Furthermore, this man survived Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark. He could have packed it in after that shit show, but he didn't. I would have. I would have moved to a small town in Canada after that debacle.

Watched this show ... love the cast except the actress. For Eurydice they casted someone who couldn't enunciate the way it is needed in a musical, and my favorite song of the musical just went unnoticed. Wish the original cast would stick around longer ...
