Bath & Body Works Firecracker Pop Re-Release: Comparing the New vs. Original Scent

Mary you need to pick up VS/Pink Rocket Pop. It smells AMAZING!! I smell every note and it lasts a moderate amount of time too. Smells exactly like a bomb pop, they nailed it. They are $10 rn. I snagged this one and cotton candy. I’m not a fan of this year’s packaging but I have it in the candle and I like it.

I thought we were going to see confetti cake pop return? Am I wrong? 😅

I bought this…it’s going back. The fragrances seem like they would be good individually, but altogether it didn’t woo me.

Hi mary last year firecracker pop was super strong absolutely love it and staying power the packaging was gorgeous... however fire cracker pop and black cherry 🍒 merlot are my favorites especially in this jamaican heat .

Hey Mary I think Bath and Body works knows that these products are going at a discount during SAS and they cheapen up the packaging . Which in my opinion the packaging is what draws my eyes to say hmm what does this smell like, it’s also part of why you love it . When it looks cute sitting on your dresser. They are doing this on purpose, I get it looks like a 4 of July type packaging … but instead of having a pretty colored bottle, they slap on this cheap label on a clear bottle….just my opinion , and if it’s the same scent then you can deal with the packaging …lol just my thoughts on it 💕💕

For Fall SAS or 2025 B&BW should bring back Sunset Glow, Wrapped In Vanilla, Midnight Swim, Fresh Gardenia, Summer Melody, Cotton Candy Champagne, Gingham Love and Fresh Jungle Rain.

I love Everlasting Magic and Sunset Glo. Firecracker Pop is meh to me. Haven't tried the others yet. Thanks for the review and comparison!

I love Firecracker Pop. So much so, that I picked up a body cream even though I almost never buy the cream and always get the lotion. But since B&BW make no sense and give us some summer scents only in the thick, heavy cream, I had no choice. She's just that good. If I had to compare her to another scent, it would probably be Cherry Limeade. Definitely not SUPER similar, but they both have that cherry candy with citrus vibe going on. (I sure wish they would bring Cherry Limeade back!) Thanks for the video!

I have the Rocket Pop by pink it smells better in my opinion than fire cracker pop and it’s long lasting. It smells like a blue raspberry icy.

Hi Mary! Firecracker Pop first time ever as far as I know is available in Canada in body care and home fragrance this year. I'm surprised it's available in Canada as I always thought this one was just a 4th of July product. Canada does not celebrate 4th of July. We celebrate Canada Day on July 1st. I only picked up in the mist as I wanted to see what was all the hype about. I did not try this one out in the past. I have to admit....It's just "meh" to me. I was expecting something different.

I do not like Firecracker Pop. I tried it about a year ago. I used the shower gel I began using for handsoap (which was torture) and gifted the other items away.

To me it smells exactly like those fire cracker popsicles. ❤🤍💙

I find that the major difference between most originals and than the repackaged scents is probably in the amount of the ingredient they use , example: the original may have been a 60/30/10 combo of fragrance while the new although same fragrance but a mix of 50/20/30 so I call it "dumbing down" the scent.

I think I actually prefer the new VS one. However the sprayer is awful instead of a mist I get a giant splat.

This is my first year wearing it and it makes me happy. I finally got over my “you have to wear scents appropriate for my age and be classy” and am having more fun!

PINK just released a new line with Rocket Pop, Cotton Candy and Peach Swirl. They arrived at my door 10 minutes ago and Rocket Pop was the first one I had to try. It is yummy and summery and I really like it! Firecracker Pop is just so very heavy on the cherry i feel a little beaten over the head by it lol. In the heat of summer I don't think I could wear it. But Rocket Pop hits that lemon note beautifully and actually smells refreshing, like a real popsicle. It dries down a lot more tame than FP as well. I really like it and I hope you can get your nose on it!

Firecracker Pop smells like fruit punch to me.

Last year I got a mini for fire cracker pop for the first time and LOVED it!!! This year I purchased a full set. If you want to use it in the evening, layer it with Tom Ford lost cherry or Finery not another cherry

I was hoping for some fall or holiday scents leftover for the semi annual sale but nothing at my store.....

I don't know how I feel about firecracker pop. I bought it cause I wasn't that into the watermelon lemonade or strawberry soda and figured it would be decent. But I'm not sure what I think of it. I feel like I'm smelling cherry mixed with like an inflatable plastic type scent. Maybe it just has to grow on me, idk.

I remember you talking about sugar, cherry crisp in another video and you made it sound so good. I ended up getting it off of eBay and you are really right it smells absolutely delicious. I love it.

I really wanted to love it, since I love fruity fragrances, but it smells so bad to me. Seems like my nose detects this fragrance differently than most people. To me it smells like fish and sulfur mixed with chemical cherries. The sulphur gives firework vibes so its weirdly fitting LOL. I wish BBW would make a pure sweet cherry candy fragrance. One of my top 3 favorites is "Cherry Limeade" but its mosty lime, and I like "Sweet Heart Cherry" but the pistachio is a major part of it, but the cherry note in those I love so I wish it was a fragrance mist itself,

I like the cherry note in Firecracker Pop. But, as you said, it only lasted around an hour. Even though I layered and everything (the body wash, the cream and the spray). The dry down was also not good. The dry down smells like baby throw up to me. Not cherries or lime or whatever, but straight up baby throw up. I will be returning everything I purchased in this fragrance. Mary, can you please do a video on the best cherry fragrances that you know of? Because, this one is not gonna work for me. I honestly think Firecracker Pop should be a home fragrance only. And maybe a hand sanitizer too, but not body care until they add more notes to it to make it last longer and smell better on the dry down.

I kind of miss out on Firecracker Pop because they always come back every year and didn't get the chance to smell it. I always pass by it and prefer the other scents which is a bit strange considering that I like those type of scents. But I notice that this year, Bath and Body Works put out a lot of citrus scents like Calypso Clementine, Love Always Win, and the Citrus perfume. I gotten tired of scents that have some citrus in the notes. I wish that they bought back Sunset Glow; My favorite scent of all time.
