But do you run on coffee? If you can sleep 6 hours without the need for coffee or caffeine then it's great, but people who mainly do this rely on stimulants to keep themselves awake. It's not healthy

Fascinating... I consistently got 3 hours of sleep and memorized Naval Nuclear Power School... so yeah I never put much stock in or thought sleep was "important" 🤷‍♂️. I used to hate 6 hours but now 6-6.5 hours at 42 years old seems to be the sweet spot.

What about when you have crappy work hours? Say you work 7-4 on a Saturday. Then go home until 11 pm, where you return to work and work until 3 pm the following day? People would tell me, "just go to sleep when you get home at 4 on Saturday", but I had young kids. So I would wake up Saturday morning at 6 and not go to sleep until Sunday night.

Secret, you can sleep for 7,5 hours instead of 8 hours. Because 6 hours + 90 minutes is 7,5. Tricky math, that is.

I have sleep issues (cause of low dopamine). Yesterday evening I was looking forward to something good that will happen to me. Even though I slept only 4hours I felt quite rested. But is hard to setup things like that frequently 😅

My daughter couldn’t get to sleep until reishi mushrooms. She took melatonin but didn’t work after awhile. Then she heard about reishi and now they find corycepes is highest to be oxygen in blood and add atp for energy.

KLT. I am 72 years old, male. Over 40 years ago I came across a book about centenarians, and they typically had practiced naps throughout their lives. So I adopted it. 20 minutes seems to be a good parameter, although I find that for me personally, 8 to 12 minutes of being completely out of it, is immensely rejuvenative. KLT
A typical nights sleep for me, and I fall asleep easily, is 4 1/2 hours, wake up and go to the bathroom, 90 minutes, go to the bathroom, 30 minutes, get up. That is without an alarm. If I don't go to the bathroom when I wake up then I cannot fall back asleep, some kind of unconscious thing I guess.
