ОтветитьBut do you run on coffee? If you can sleep 6 hours without the need for coffee or caffeine then it's great, but people who mainly do this rely on stimulants to keep themselves awake. It's not healthy
ОтветитьFascinating... I consistently got 3 hours of sleep and memorized Naval Nuclear Power School... so yeah I never put much stock in or thought sleep was "important" 🤷♂️. I used to hate 6 hours but now 6-6.5 hours at 42 years old seems to be the sweet spot.

ОтветитьWhat about when you have crappy work hours? Say you work 7-4 on a Saturday. Then go home until 11 pm, where you return to work and work until 3 pm the following day? People would tell me, "just go to sleep when you get home at 4 on Saturday", but I had young kids. So I would wake up Saturday morning at 6 and not go to sleep until Sunday night.

I have sleep issues (cause of low dopamine). Yesterday evening I was looking forward to something good that will happen to me. Even though I slept only 4hours I felt quite rested. But is hard to setup things like that frequently 😅

ОтветитьKLT. I am 72 years old, male. Over 40 years ago I came across a book about centenarians, and they typically had practiced naps throughout their lives. So I adopted it. 20 minutes seems to be a good parameter, although I find that for me personally, 8 to 12 minutes of being completely out of it, is immensely rejuvenative. KLT
A typical nights sleep for me, and I fall asleep easily, is 4 1/2 hours, wake up and go to the bathroom, 90 minutes, go to the bathroom, 30 minutes, get up. That is without an alarm. If I don't go to the bathroom when I wake up then I cannot fall back asleep, some kind of unconscious thing I guess.
