I don't think I've made a YT comment in might life, but when you showed how to do a Google search from Alfred my jaw dropped. At the same time I thought the video stopped working, but then I looked and saw the face you were making; you knew it'd get people! Ha!

I don't know if it's just me, but Spotlight already meets my needs. I don't see any reason to start using Alfred.

Privacy concerns with this Alfred? You're giving it (them) access to your files as well as the entirety of your hard-drive.

Mac integrated spotlight is far better than this app. It's not simple , too many shortcuts and won't find most files on your computer , Not recommended at all

Hi @Jeff , amazing vid right here, I'm already in love with this wonderful timesaver app ! Just in case you didn't know about the snippets I use a snippet thingy already built-in on apple devices : keyboard replacements. This a sort of native snippets features that alfred gives us, but basicly on mac, iphone and ipad etc.. (synchronise throughout the devices you have). I find it great cause i'm able to have some shortcuts like /{your snippet} that gives my phone number, email signature, driver license number or whatever you find useful and usable often ! Settings -> Keyboard -> Replacements

Discovered Alfred on Ali's fast typing video and remembered you firing up ToDoist super fast in another video, and I couldn't figure out how you did it. Now I know, and this app (and this video) has transformed my life a little bit. Thanks, Jeff.

Anyone try to search Apple Care Coverage in Alfred? No result vs spotlight. I was wonder what did I miss? Maybe some settings in Alfred?

Have you thought about Raycast - It is being free and all.
Better Extension support etc.

Question - not sure if this is due to settings that I have checked off, but is there a way for alfred to search within specific native mac apps?
This might be a more specific use case, but i always use spotlight search to navigate to a specific spot in settings - eg. if i search keyboard shortcuts in spotlight, it'll bring me to the exact spot in system settings for keyboard shortcuts
But if i try to search in alfred, it doesn't give me any options like that

Can any one help, i paid for alfred app in ipad after installing i get to know that it needed 2 apple devices to work, and i have only one ipad .. i was completely unaware of this matter now my money just got wasted.

Why most of people use Spotlight or Alfred for starting apps and say it is comfortable? Aptivate app allows start app with single shortcut. I use ALT/OPTION+B for browser, ALT/OPTION+S for skype, ALT/OPTION+N for notes app etc...

Hi Jeff! This is great. Haven't you tried Raycast? It's so much nicer designed and even better in functionality and usability than Alfred! In my workflow, it replaced my Alfred completely. You should definitely give it a chance! Cheers.

How could I use this to launch Apple's Mail and Photos and other applications? It works fine for web searches and for opening Spotify but not for Photos or Mail.

I hope someone can help me. The thing is file searching feature doesn't work. I am sure that it has access full disk. But still doesn't work as expected
