I bought a Saab 9-3 from 2003 2 weeks ago, I had my doubts but it's just absolutely lovely to drive and the acceleration never gets boring. Saabs are truly underrated!

My dad had a saab 93 turbo and it was tuned its top speed was 283km/h

i would love to know what tune is it. I have a 9-5 2.0t bsr stage 1 and seems a diferent, specially at higher revs.

I just regret not recording my saab stage 2 with a few mods. I bought it and with gps top speed was 284. Thought all saabs are like that fast. It could burnout front tires till 3rd gear. 2 days after I sold it guy crashed it in city with another car.

My dad owned a 94 saab 900s. Drove it a couple of times. It was a 2.3 liter engine automatic.he used to de-accelerate when he's going fast till he reaches 40 kmph, activate tge sport mode in the transmission, and kick that pedal. The car suddenly becomes a rally car, and he can overtake trucks on the highway. This saab blew me away. It didn't even shake doing 220. Saab really built a car from jets. Wow

Have I rly not commented on this video damn. Well I just wanted to say that I have the same car Maptun Stage 1 and I did 210 during the fuckin winter on a much shorter straight so im kinda surprised u werent able to go faster then 220. Like I feel like if I tried on a much longer straight (during the summer) I could possibly do 235~ish

My first car was a SAAB 9-5 from 1998. Had to put the gear in reverse, as you need to do in a SAAB. Still do it in all cars from pure habit.

Reminds me of my first car in 2005, a 2000 9-5 Aero 2.3 T with the same engine…what a nice car.

Two things perhaps worth of notice: The driving position is weird (steering misaligned with the legs) and the gearshift appears to be massively loose.
It struggled to go beyond 200 km/h. For a tuned engine, even being a 20+ years old car, I was expecting a bit more.

Really lovely cars, my first was a 9-3og 2.0t stage 2, 230hp and 350nm. 3 inch catback exhaust and e85. Real fun! Now i drive a stage 1 9-5 Aero wagon with 270-280hp.

Incredible to see how fast is the 0 to 150 for a 230 HP car but then it takes a while to reach 200 kph.
