The Menu bar visibility settings in VS Code lets you configure how the menu bar is displayed on Windows and Linux

• classic — Default. Visible normally but hidden in fullscreen mode.
• compact — Show the menubar in the activity bar instead.
• visible — Always show the menu bar, even in fullscreen mode
• toggle — Hide the menu bar by default. Press 'alt' to show it
• hidden — Never show the menu bar
