The Kodiak 100 Series II : Welcome to the mountains of Victoria . We will be flying over many great Victorian ski resorts minus the snow as its now summer Downunder unfortunately but we will check back here when the Australian update comes out for the sim hopefully its just around the corner when this video drops on the YouTube. We are flying the Kodiak 100 series 2 today by simworks studio. Now this is a well suited aircraft like many we have flown for the areas we are flying . What a beauty. Originally design by Quest and then purchased by Daher . First series designs began back in 1999 and maiden flight on October 2004. In 2018 Quest revealed the Series 2 priced around 2.15 Mil . The airframe was improved with cargo door step mechanism and wing root sealing. The cockpit has compact back up instruments and Garmin G1000 NXi instrument panel, a GFC 700 autopilot ,Surface Watch runway monitoring technology, synthetic vision system and an optional Garmin GWX 75 Doppler-capable weather radar . The series 2 also introduced the An eight-seat "Executive Edition" VIP cabin. It has club-seating, increased oxygen volume, along with air conditioning with separate controls for the cockpit and cabin. Great aircraft to fly and well re produced for the sim by simworks studioes shout out to them . Another must for all GA sim fans. So today’s flight takes us over the ski resorts and holiday homes of Hotham heights, dinner plains and Falls creek and over the amazing ski fields of Victoria. The first ski lodges around falls creek were built by workers from the state electricity commission on land previously used for cattle grazing in the summer around 1948. The first lift and rope tow was built in 1951 and first chairlift at falls creek in 1957. The post office opened on June 1958 nearest town to the area is where we are departing from at Mount Beauty . Lets soar above the mountains yet again in the high country of Victoria Australia .
