Thanks for posting. I just swapped out the drivers seat, and it gave me an idea of what to expect. I did end up putting in the metal rings again, and it wasn't so bad after the first few.
I also had the driver's restraint error and cleared it with BimmerLink. I think that I may have still been in accessory mode when I started so it registered the error.
Nice video! I just replaced the driver's seat heater.
However, now I have a new problem... Driver's restraint system malfunction. I plugged the seat back in before turning the car on, but I did not have the battery disconnected while the seat was out.
How did you get the replacement?
Is it orderable to BMW?
would you pls. share the BMW part number for the seat cushion incl. heating element?
ОтветитьOk so know that I’ve learned how to fix my i3 seat wormer can you please tell me who sings this song😂
ОтветитьTop Post Thanks
ОтветитьAm I missing something??.How did you FIX it and what was WRONG????
Ответитьgreat video, do you recall where was the original thermistor placed? this may be important info for those who are lucky enough to have only thermistor broken...
ОтветитьWhat have You done for fixing it ? Welded the Wires or replace the Cushion ? Thanks
ОтветитьThanks so much for posting this. Just used it to fix the driver’s seat of my 2016 i3.
Seat turned on for 3 mins, heated ok but then turned itself off and could not be activated again without restart. It was broken wires to the thermistor which I repaired. Just undid a handful of those clips at the back left of the seat base, peeled a little of the top surface away to expose the wires and repair. When fixed resistance of black and green/purple wire should be around 10kOhms.
