It's depressing how two dimensional their thinking is
ОтветитьFuck yeah
Ответитьall those Union ships... XD and yet the Orville is still the only one of its class... seriously, why is it that the Class the Orville is, is the only one to ever exist in this show? how is other shows like Star Wars, Stargate, and Star Trek, (and possibly many more i don't fully know myself) able to have so many ships on scene, many with the same class even, yet we as fans can literally point at every single ship on screen and say there respective names... even there Registry Number's and such? is the joke is meant to be "hero Ship is ALWAYS recognizable in there tv shows" taken literally?
ОтветитьI watched this episode last night because I’ve only just started recently watching the Orville and OMG. I couldn’t believe how amazing this scene was. It was way better than anything. I’ve seen in Star Wars or Star Trek or any other sci-fi thing I’ve watched and I’m a HUGE sci-Fi nut. Seth MacFarlane did a cracking job and this is now my FAVOURITE THING IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE GALAXY!!!!!! What a battle
ОтветитьThe krill should've let earth fall.
ОтветитьThe only thing the union fleet does is die and not very well.
ОтветитьWho has the economy to build that many spaceships?
ОтветитьLmao it's a musket line
ОтветитьTypical American...gunfights..car chases...and more gunfights......🥴😵🤪🤢
ОтветитьExcept for the fact that everyone is close enough to see every other ship lol. An actual space battle would be fought at extreme ranges, likely with missiles. Energy weapons build up too much heat, as do conventional firearms. But a missile that contains its own propellent will carry the heat from its own launch away with it, helping prevent the ship from overheating. It takes a LOT longer for heat to dissipate in space than in an atmosphere. Plus a missile doesn't produce recoil. Firing bullets in space would slow you down, requiring additional thrust just to maintain position. And again, energy weapons, if they exist they would probably be laser-based anti-missile countermeasures for defensive use, not for attacking.
ОтветитьAh the battle of the copypastas….
ОтветитьSpace is big, ships are small.
ОтветитьGuided missiles not a thing in the future? We needed the lasers they had on the capital ships in Freespace 2!
ОтветитьI know the ships flying close together is for visual effects of the audience but let's be real. In space they'd likely be miles apart.
ОтветитьHo hum. Shooty Shooty Bang Bang. Seen it a thousand times.
Ответитьof course in the far future the secret of the "missile technology" has been lost to history....
Ответитьthank you . ( 2023 / July / 03 )
ОтветитьIt's so strange. I love the clips for this show. I tried to watch the show, half way through the first season I had to stop. I thought it would be funny and entertaining. It's neither. Its like watching a high school production of star trek with a 20 million dollar budget. The truly amazing part is all these talented people brought together and the result was this drivel. Its like watching the sci fi version of the 2000's Raiders football team.
ОтветитьAnd while all the great powers in the region are dwindling their numbers, an unseen outsider is licking its lips as it watches the meat tenderize itself.
ОтветитьThis is a jawdropping space battle and way too awesome!
Ответитьpathetic
Ответитьtoo bad lucas couldn't have done the endor battle on the same scale back in the day!
ОтветитьIt’s an “ok” fleet engagement but it’s potential was very underused. The combat should have started much further out, the ships needed to be in formations, the ships hardly fired even in such a target rich environment. If the fire rate of these ships are that bad then they need a rework.
Why send out a single “invisible” ship to then surround it with a very noticeable escort formation.
I could keep going… eg if suicide ships are that effective, why wouldn’t every fleet contain automated detachable ram ships.
one of the best shows of our time and so few people whatched
ОтветитьI just binge watched all three season and the only thing I want to know is what the hell is going on with season 4 🤔😜
ОтветитьThe thing that bothers me is that they treat this as a battle of individual ships. Just a few hours of sand table and they could have portrayed fleet actions effectively. But it was still exciting.
However, this was such a good arc with Charlie.
Gene Roddenberry would be proud
Ответитьcool movie but human ship design is some how very suck
ОтветитьWeapons loose!! Fire at will!!
ОтветитьPew pew pew go the guns....except there's no sound in space hahahaha!
ОтветитьI hate the Union ships and fighters. The ships from the other races look great.
ОтветитьThese battle scene graphics are excellent. 😂
ОтветитьStandard🤷🏼♂️IMHO 🤓😎✌🏻
Ответитьyes the blue vs green vs red. ha
I hope the magenta race loses to the cyan. Yellow is a loser anyway.
That's... BAD.
They made Star Trek into Star Wars.
OMG what a shit show...
Star Trek - "You need a task force, but you are the only ship in the sector so - Good luck!!"
Orville - "Bring yourself to our location. The Fleet is going hunting."
It's a good battle, but why is their chief engineer getting involved in a dogfight on the surface of a planet?
ОтветитьThey say assume formation but I dont see one.
ОтветитьThis is sad. This is where charlie dies.
ОтветитьProper space battle? This is space ship soup and kindof an eyesore.
ОтветитьLook you can see WTF is going on take notes STD nope to late your CANCELED STD😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThere has been in my belief lately a terrible trend to portray space battle fought with hundreds of ships on each side all flying in formation following the same path in Star Trek and in the Orville with these ships acting like fighters and not ships crewed by 100's of people. Starships are not fighters guys and they don't move in space like they do in atmosphere no reason to keep your ship pointed in the same direction as its movement... Not going to put ships this large this close to each other, no attempt at electronic warfare to hide position one line of attach for your entire fleet so close together that misses hit other ships. Only show to get it right at all lately was the expanse, Babylon 5 did a relatively good job as did space above and beyond.
Ответитьyou know...anytime i see massive space battles like this, I'm reminded of that one bit in Mass Effect 3 where the sergent is ripping his suboridinates a new ones about how ship fired projectiles and beams KEEP GOING in space until they HIT something. So every miss means that something, somewhere, will have a BAD day. "THIS is why you do not EYE-BALL-IIIIT!!!" I'd love to see the episode about the people, alien or otherwise that sets up a giant deflector screen a safe distance away from the massive battle with the explicit purpose of catching stray projectiles. You could even have an alien race who has a branch of the military that exists for that sole purpose ..."Look..we aren't going to stop you guys from fighting...and we're not going to help EITHER OF you. What we ARE going to do is set up a field so noone ELSE has to pay for your poor diplomatic skills." You could even have an episode where a sympathetic commander of said race bends the rules a bit by establishing the shield to protect the civilian population of a planet whose military is fighting a pitched battle directly in front of said planet's population...and the attacking army is annoyed because doing so diminishes the "shock and awe" of the attacking fleet and makes the conflict continue that much longer. So they actually turn to attack the ships maintaining the field..and find out that the "Open intercepting hand" can close to become a fist and squish entire fleets between opposing gravity waves if necassary. the episode would end with the attacking fleet victorious , and the defending one annhilated to the last ship...and the 3rd party withdrawing to let the vicotrous army occupy the planet with no further resistance(but substantial losses to thier own fleet)..and the understanding that if the victors open fire on a defenceless planet they will lose the "moral high ground" they claim to have and the rest of the galactic community will respond accordingly, as THEY will have become the monsters.
Ответитьthe star war should be a story
ОтветитьThis was epic... I hope they renew for season 4
ОтветитьStar Craft 1 called. It wants it's CGI back.
ОтветитьIt's a shame given how many ships the Union supposedly has that we know almost nothing about other ships, or captains, would be good to explore and understand how the Union came to be. Also, only seems to be like 2 ship classes and they're pretty indistinct. Would be good to know why they have such an unusual design
ОтветитьI love how suicidal the Kylons are, they take any chance they can have to ram organics ships, even when it is not really needed, just run the battle on slow, they just seem to love doing that.
ОтветитьLike the Federation, the Union can't fight well; it waits for a Deus ex machina from its ally of the hour.
ОтветитьThis has really great Star Wars: Battle of Coruscant vibes.
Man, i miss the show.
