16. Shared Self Hosted Integration runtime in Azure Data Factory

This step is crucial in implementation of CICD.
That is there are 2 data factories, one for DEV and other for PROD[blank factory].
And if in DEV Data factory you are using Self Hosted IR, then you need to create another Data Factory for IR [let say IR Data Factory], which will be having one Self-Hosted IR configuration with nothing else [no pipeline, no datasets, no linked service etc.]
And then we need to delete the Self Hosted IR in DEV factory and create "Shared Self-Hosted IR" pointing to IR Data Factory. Also, in PROD Data factory you need to create "Shared Self-Hosted IR" pointing to IR Data Factory.

Note: This step is not mentioned in CICD MS documentation or videos.

so no authentication ? it is directly accessible if we have the shared URL

Nice series of tutorial for ADF. In the on premises IR I already configure key. Now I want to change the key. how I will do it?

Thanks a lot for this video. am having a doubt. while we practice, we used to delete resource groups rite. After installing IR and registering with key, if we delete the all the resources, again we have to start from installation of IR rite. can u pls tell me what to be done for not restarting again.

for self-hosted IR's you need to install the MSI on ONPREM servers. But these are windows servers. Which package do i need for linux/unix servers ?

Thanks for providing good info. i have question about SSIS Script Task functionality. so we have SSIS packages in which many script task editor functionality is used with no more complex logic. we are proposing to move this SSIS package to ADF but again i am confused that to replace script task editor of SSIS which ADF can be useful. ? i think Data flow of ADF can be useful here but not sure again.
