Terraria: How To Get Prismatic Lacewing / How To Spawn Empress Of Light (1.4 Journeys End)

Just a short video on the empress of light and prismatic lacewings, since a lot of us will need quite a few of the lacewings because of the day form, I wanted this to include as much info as possible so sorry if I rambled on a tiny bit,

Thank you. This video helped me quite a bit. I'm doing journey mode to get the hang of terraria and I couldn't figure out how to summon the empress of ligh. I saw my older brother fight it a while ago and now I want to fight it. :)

Where did they get that it spawns more in the outer 3rds of the map? I feel that's not accurate and is a guess just because of UFO scout's spawn. This doesn't seem to affect prismatic spawn.

If you want to fight empress of light in the morning you use hallowed armor. Hallowed armor could give immune i think

What summoners do you have? Besides the dragon.. I have that one. What are the other two you have?

Fought empress of light in day with zenith and starfire armor instantly died due to no preparation would not recommend

Now I learn my lesson about releasing the lacewings far from the hallow

i actually beat daytime empress once and got the terraprisma

I feel like the empress of light is harder than moon lord

It did not help at all how do you have it summoned like how do you make it butterfly get summoned

thank you, because I didn't know that it had to be a Hallow FOREST biome, the map I'm currently on only has a Hallow Tundra. Time to curate a whole biome. Again.

I’m on journey mode and I put spawn rate up to 10 Times and send a blood moon and I don’t see a single one

Bloody tear + Battle Potion + Water Canle = 10 Lacewings per night. They generally stop spawning past 12-1am for me

Me, underestimating almost every boss:
"Eh, how hard could she be during the day?"
Me after spawning her during the day:
"God let me just fight 5 Moon Lords at once."

Do i need to kill plantera first or moonlord?

Can empress of light can be summoned in any mode in terraria or only in expert or master mode?

Does the hallow have to be in the forest for the lacewings to spawn? My world the hallow is in the snow biome

Does it need to be in a hallow forest biome? I've been using a battle potion and 8 water candles in a hallowed desert...

How do you release it?? I only see the option to throw it and I can’t kill it

how do you know that it spawns more frequently towards the outer third of the map? the wiki doesn't say anything about that
