His strength lyrically, is his weakness when it comes to the crowds votes because most of us... can't comprehend until we hear it later. I remember how everyone gave this battle to Ars right after.
From the people in the building, to most of the bloggers, esp Vada.
And I get it, Ars had a bad run right before this and gave his best performance in years. He was also super direct.
But each time you rewatch this battle you realize Lux is just rapping circles around him.
I will say Lux is his own worst enemy, and the first half of this vid shows that. It's way too dense for 95% of people. Esp on first watch.
I've seen the battle 3 times and I'm still catching stuff watching this vid.
It's godly, but it's also not my fav kind of Lux.
He's since found a balance that I think elevates his craft. You def saw it in his 2x2.
Daylyt and Chilla had the same issue of overwriting, but they figured that out as well.
Either way, I enjoyed his performance here and love that he puts on performances that keep on giving over time.
