This is the first time I ever heard Rawhide!!! This is my favorite rendition!!!

This is actually only the full song as per the theatrically released film. In the original roadshow cut, which was only shown once, the second verse was included. You can hear the full song on the soundtrack and see some of the missing footage in the theatrical trailer. You can also hear exactly where it belongs; in an odd bit of editing, Steve Cropper's guitar solo cuts in halfway through the bar.

I love this scene, because the writers put it in to show that this band was supposed to be so good, they could win over just about anybody! And the scene totally works and gets that across!
