Do not be in a relationship with a filipina who is just trying to extort from you. If your gut tells you, RUN!!! Are you paying for food takeouts/dine-ins for her family when you go out? RUN!!! It won't end there. Their "family oreintedness" sometimes mean you as a foreigner need to support their parents and siblings financially. As filipina myself, this character of some filipinas embarass me a lot.

Fellow filipinas, it doesn't matter if your foreigner boyfriend thinks you are sweet, caring, loving etc. if the the people who cares about him at his home country thinks you are after green card and just want to elevate your financial status a bit beacuse they can tell if you are dirt poor in PH (did you really think they can't tell?). SADLY THIS IS THE STEREOTYPE. Totally unfair for a lot more filipinas who are looking for genuine love and happiness (in cases of those who fell in love with a foreigner). Find work, support yourself and don't burden your boyfriend with you family's financial problems. Have some pride and be in a relationship only when you are truly in love. ❤

Enough was enough for me dating Americanize woman. Decided to go home to Philippines for a vacation. In the rural of Philippines I meet the kindest, beautiful, shortest, intelligent Filipina. I knew the first day I meet her I wanted her to be my wife. Ended up going home a few more times to get to know each other. A few years later brought her to America with a K1 Visa. Got married within 6 months. She studied for her Nclex for 3 months straight and passed her first try. She works very hard, cleans and cook. But I told her marriage is 50/50. A year into our marriage were expecting our first child. Nothing can beat a Filipina wife. Super respectful and will never raise a voice. They will never forget where they came from and stick with traditional Philippines culture.

I have somewhat expectation to a blind arrangement with a filipino that is very close to my family. I went on vacation for the first time after 12 years to Philippines from Hawaii. Both my family and her side are as close as sisters and we both met each other from there. I did talk to her for more than a day but later on the last day, it seems she doesn't have much consideration to my time. I can only be temporary there and somewhat guess it's kind of force to her side so she is blatantly showing her disinterest and won't even text me back after going back. She might be busy with college and I will accept things as they are and just move on in our life. From here, I realize that maybe I should try to be more proactive and maybe find another who could actually pull the same effort as I do when it comes to forming a solid relationship. I will go.back next year again and try my best to understand the filipino women.
