im bored in long dark map... i spawning same location every time,going to mystery lake looting same houses, founding same loots every game... i need new regions

We haven't gotten anything updated on switch. Kinda sucks. I understand they have issues. I just want to play the damn game already.

Hopefully things will go smoothly. I stopped playing in anticipation of the update.

2 years waiting for Nintendo...

Do we need to make a new game for the new content to work

Permadeath is such a core concept of survival mode that the cheat death options really surprises and kind of disappoints me

cheat death makes me think the cougar attack is instadeath😳

maybe one of the afflictions in misery mode is depression and u need to play a radio during aurora to decrease it.

Does this mean it’s finally going to be available for switch players 🙏

Everything here is different that what I was expecting, but honestly it all looks really promising. The Long Dark was originally meant to be a Game about difficult choices, so it’s nice to see they are going back to this plan.

Im excited for the cougar but i hope they arent just reskinning the darkwalker and putting a cougar skin on it, i hope we can trap the cougar, shoot and kill the animal like u would a bear. New difficulty mode sounds neat, as for the cheat death system i dont like this too much just because the thrill and soul of the game is permadeath survival and encouraging this way of play would ruin the experience and fear factors, i would rather that just not exist entirely and people save scum if they must, makes it more shameful to continue the character when u arent encouraged

Cheat death is good, I like cheat death, and since you like hardship so much you can just start a run, die 3 times and then play from there with all the debuffs

Looking forward to you putting Will through misery mode.

Can't wait to horde a region and play cat and mouse with a cougar. With the new region added and the last tale, i'g guessing we won't see the final update until around the final wintermute episode comes out. If that's the case, with a full wildlife refresh and safe house customization we should also expect the trader and probably a lot of other gameplay elements that are also being used for the final episode to bring the whole package full circle! (whew! that was a fun decade!)

6 months without an update. then they post this and we STILL have to wait even bloody longer.
what a joke this PAYED DLC is. they said every 8 to 12 weeks.

the new difficulty sounds interesting, so does the cougar.

It is cool that the cheat death option is there for those who want it but it just feels like it takes away from the feel of the game. The long dark is the one the few if only survival game where I actually felt where I was trying to survive.

Pretty excited, I like that it feels like a hefty amount of content this time 👍🏼, I agree about the cougar, the point you mentioned about the attacks, sounds like it might be more of a ‘controlled’ attack encounter where we don’t necessarily get the chance to just blast it as it’s running up? Perhaps the attack animation just starts (unavoidably) like a sneak attack..

I hope the tale finally adds some actual explanations. I liked the previous tales for the gameplay, but the storytelling was super vague and mostly just incomplete hints.

Sadly still no house customization. Besides the graphics update that's what I want the most.

Ok so the update for the switch is coming sometime in July, well it could be worse lol

so the new challenge will be..how long can I stay in one region infested with cougars. Love it, this is awesome!

Options are almost always a net positive.

i think the cheating dealth should be ruduced to just one more chance and thats it i think four is wayyy to generous and make it to where you have it on or off before you start the game but thats just my two cents
