So I hard this theory once: remember when Lastimosa gave you an injection at the start of the game? It could be nanobots that gives pilots superhuman qualities, kinda like the super soldier serum that Captain America got. As piloting a Titan put extreme strains on a normal human, kinda also explains why you are so strong and could punch people sending them flying.
