GET GOLD EASY // SEA OF THIEVES - New players use this tip!

i just started playing yesterday and did two of these in a row today, def easy and sold every bit of it. ill be able to buy my own ship soon thanks to this.

25 minutes my ass. It took almost 25 mins just to sail back to the treasury after I collected all the loot and returned to my ship, cause I got spawned on the complete opposite side of the map. And then the treasure mermaid wasn't even there for some reason, so I had to do the vault fight all over again. The second time I didn't scuttle my ship, and the pink mermaid showed up afterwards (not sure if that's what made the difference..). This whole ordeal from the time I saw this tutorial to having all my loot sold took me nearly 3 hours. Granted I'm not an experienced player so I died a few times. In the end, I received around 30k gold. Was it worth it? I dunno. That's the most gold I've ever made in one play session so far, but it wasn't exactly a fun experience. I guess next time I'll be faster at least.

Raise an emissary and go to a shrine or Treasury first. If you get sunk you don't lose anything except your flag and one shrine will take you to level 3 easily. Then go to a seafort. You can fight and watch the surroundings from the top. Easy lvl 4 emissary. One more seafort or close island dig/bounty will usually max you out.

before i "start to have fun" i have to get emissary 5 so that my merchant routes are worth the time doing them. so by the time i have completed my sunken ship cargo recovery voyage, i'm about done before i need a break. take a break and get afk kicked. rejoin a diff server and start over =(

I do the same thing with other stuff like gold hoarder vaults. Once im done with a vault, shrine or fort, ill scuttle the ship again just to flush out any tuckers on a respawned ship. THEN ill go back to the ship lol. I hide my treasure in out the way places, away from the shoreline and not in any tunnel. Usually under thick bushes next to trees if possible. NEVER bury because it spawns a map on your ship to take.

I like them and I go for the sunken kingdom commendations. My friend goes off and completes some GH emissary stuff while I'm under the sea. A level 5 ruby breath of the sea is worth 20 G's! Definitly worth it. But with the burry mechanic now, you can keep your high teir goods safe somewhere else while you work on your emissary. Well, safe-ish. I assume other people assume you've only burried some small trinkets like most people do. So chances are low they'll hunt down whatever "lame" prize you hid for a commendation.

I do have a question, if I go around and loot all the treasuries (they're all active usually and have a 30min respawn timer independent of the world) and then go pick it all up, can I do it, or does the siren make my treasures go poof after a while?

I do this sometimes. But some of the time crews of 3 or 4 camp over the shrine for eternity. Due to schedule conflicts I usually sail solo ⛵

if the capstan was central it would go through the central plank, so it makes sense to be offset
