New Haval H6 Hybrid Economy Test and Review - How efficient is it in the real world?

Tried to watch this video but the sound is completely screwed up.

Not having a spare wheel is a problem tbh, we live in south africa where that is a need, even if it's a biscuit. They must place the batteries under the passenger seats.

How could they not put a spare tyre in the car?! That could be a deal breaker for a lot of people. Otherwise a nice car.

How's the sound system on this?

Any car without a spare wheel is off my list.

It might have a combined power output of 500 + NM but it's not used in conjunction. Plus it's a 1.5 turbo.

I test drove this car last month. Upon flooring the gas pedal i could feel the power but apparently engine revs did not go up..
Also was confused if i was getting 500Nm of torque. Can you pl let me have your comments about what you observed about its acceleration and engine revs

Android Auto or Apple car play is wired? Quite disappointing I must say for a car loaded with Tech like this and at the very top of the range in the series

Great review, however im not sure the fuel economy at the end of the video is indicative of the entire drive??? Im led to believe the display of fuel economy is showing what the car is doing at that point in time. The most accurate way to determine fuel economy is to start with a full tank then fill it again at the end of the trip, then calculate litres used per klms driven. Would be interesting to see the results.

in brazil the haval h6 gt has almost 400 hp and 78kgf of torwue with 0-100 in 4.8s

How does this fare against the tiggo 8 pro (with turbocharged 2.0 engine)?

I found a lot of road noise on the test drive specifically on the highway. Sounded like tyre noise. Wind noise seemed OK.

I don't get satisfied until your video comes out on any car review. No one else but only you do justice to the review of cars. Well done man.

I have never owned a Haval, but what I have read from Haval car long-term owners online is concerning. People often report a cascade of mechanical and software issues soon after purchase ranging from transmission problems to infotainment issues. I read accounts of fuel economy shooting up drastically a few months after ownership and I also read about many people being victim-blamed by their dealerships. Havals were winning me over because they seemed great value for money but they seem too risky for me now. Hopefully, customer experience will change with their presence growing in South Africa.

Okay report but disappointing that you didn't actually fill it up both ends and get an actual fuel consumption. The guages are often +/-20% out. Also the saving is 25 to 30%. 9l/100 petrol minus 30% is 6.3l/100km.

Haval H6 DHT(the China version of H6 Hybrid) only costs around half of 669000 Rand, taking the import fees and dealer profit into account, you can tell how much the Toyota are overpriced

Bro..those 220Nm are just from the internal combustion engine in the RAV4, not the whole hybrid system. 🙂

11L per 100 on freeway??? My pickup has better mpg. Nice car for the money. Looks like it's best suited for town driving. Will have to test drive it

At 7.24 you're talking about the torque in the RAv and comparing it to the Haval, you had a gold RAV driving aside you.. I wonder if that was just pure coincidence lol.

As always your videos are fab. Appreciate your work.
But I have confusion if you want to choose between Rav4 HV GXL AWD Auto CVT which is now $50453 (Australian Dollar) and Haval H6 Ultra hybrid which is $46103 then which one would you go for.
I am getting both the cars in next week for the above mentioned price, so availability is not the issue for me.

I am really confused and unable to make the decision. After sale market of haval is not so good as compared to Rav4.
And now they have raised the price of rav4 so I am not sure is it worth to buy Rav4 or haval at this time now.
Is this something you can please guide on.

I guess the supplied Tyre Weld does not clog the Tyre Pressure Sensors?!?!!

I'm just not comfortable with family size suv's being plainly front wheel drive. Family suv's should be rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive

Haval is great. Only oversight in the H6 is the fact that you cannot control the radio volume from the console. Unless I am just blind 🤷‍♀️

My experience is that the instrument readout of fuel consumption under reads actual consumption measured from fill up to fill up by at least half a litre.

What is the rust warranty on the car? that is very important if you live at the coast. Also, reliability beyond the warranty period?

I get 6.1 l/100 km in a 2007 RAV4 diesel which secondhand cost me 20% of this car. Admittedly it does not have most of the bells and whistles of this one, but in an old car the more bells and whistles the more there is to go wrong.
