Container Gardening On A Budget | Dollar Tree

I shop the curbs, I have got some really workable large pots, what I look for is ice chests, those with lids removed, the drain plug opened & filled with really good soil. I like a lot of good soil to feed my plants. Dollar Tree no longer handles the large pots I enjoyed & bought several of. All my plants have done well this year, those .25 cent Dollar Tree seeds went wild. Be sure & regrow plants, green onions are a super good deal.

Cool. I'm growing in big Walmart bags. I will find things to grow out of. I refuse to spend on pots and I spend as little as possible since this is the worst time in history to be spend a dollar. Pre collapse. Wise to grow food

I’m getting ready to try to make a container garden and I’m so intimidated! Do you have a video about what type of fertilizer to use? I thought I could just dump potting soil and seeds in a pot and veggies would grow.🤦🏽‍♀️

Start your seeds in water bottles and solo cups if you’re broke and ask for buckets from bakery’s

In 2022 those containers on wheels cost $80 😩

I like those little three-way pots as a gift idea with herbs planted. I’m going to do that for my neighbors that help me out a lot. It’s an inexpensive thank you that’s useful for them. 😊

Potting mix is looser than potting soil

My local Dollar Tree store only had a few regular plastic pots and some gardening tools... no soil, definitely no stackable planters (I wish!!) Glad you were fortunate enough to find some!

I always get my seeds from the Dollar Tree and they've always grown they've never failed me failed me and it's very cheap just like what she say I get all my stuff from there and I have a beautiful garden and beautiful flower beds

I’ve got those 3 section containers and they are not deep or large enough to grow a decent plant. If you don’t stack them they’re better but not much. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Our garbage day is Monday pick up. I put my Great Dane in my Explorer and we ride around our neighborhood to see what is sitting out on the curb for trash pickup. I have found so many things I could use for my container gardening blinds that I can use for plant markers, one time I found a stack of 10 5 gallon buckets that had already been used for gardening that had holes already drilled in them that was a good score

That is amazing dollar store has that stuff I was at ace hardware yesterday and one really really gorgeous ceramic fancy large pot was 45 dollars I wanted to invest in the fancier ones thought they might last and be very gorgeous but you sure got some good ideas wow

YESSSS! I bought a box of mixed flowers for pollinators from the Dollar Stor 3 years ago. WOWZA! I threw them in my garden soil and the germination rate was amazing! Three years later I still have seeds germinating.

The little cardboard you are taking off there is biodegradable as plant grows. No need to ever peal it off . It's made of peat moss

If you store your seed in an airtight container they last longer and keep in a cool dark place x

I always ask the store manger what day they get there shipment in the stores.i did get the flowers seeds this year 4\1.25 that's
25 cents a pack😁 they where all gone in 2 days.
