The Full Story of Spectacle Island - Fallout 4 Lore

First time I came here I had an automaton companion with sentry boy legs so I was on my own until he teleported to th island and the first enemies on the coast that I found were TWO mirelurk deep-sea kings😭😭

The Railroad sent me to this island. I still haven't figured the reason out. I know that it's a safe house for synths, but that's it.

If you can’t find one of the conservative presby churches then, maybe an Lcms Lutheran church.

over the years costlines do changes etc. it might be that the skeletons at and close to the shore is people that died when the bombs fell and then slowly got buried over time to. the one in the dune is less likely i guess but the one near the parasoll, table and chairs is more likely if you ask me. with them also beeing partly buried in the sand. the day the bombs fell was a nice day in boston so it might very well been someone enjoying a nice day in authom when the bombs fell maybe reading a book, watching the ocean or fishing.

I would imagine that the skeletons on the beach died when the bombs dropped, then just got covered in sand/silt over the course of the next 200 years.

That jump scare got me good😂

You living in power armor is crazy. I never use power armor past the Concord mission that forces you to wear it. Hate the slow, clunky armor💯

I found this randomly and started poking around....im level 29 and still struggled 😂

Power armor, with jetpack, start at Warwick Homestead, jump from sandbar to sand bar, until no sand bars, walk straight to the island underwater, you will come across a sunken house with a wheelchair, walk around that to the right, head up to the island, immediately go to the generator, start it, go to the building with the work bench, turn on the emitter, kill the queen, problem solved, no swimming, nothing complicated, not even that long of an underwater walk...

....on my 12th play through and followed this exact scenario since my 2nd.

I love how Bethesda incorporated real history into this game. Also really enjoy how they leave potential stories up to the imagination. Never thought of Randy being a potential raider!

With Spectacle Island being in close proximity to The Castle it is no surprise that Mirelurks live there

I rather think the raider turned off the generator hoping to get the drop on the settlers and didn't know about the mirelurks until it was too late.

I can relate to this story a lot as I have family in Virginia Beach. Spectacle island is literally just watery mount trashmore. Really cool place! It felt cool to be able to connect to a game like that

I thought only the mirelurks could hear the siren 😭🤣

Probably has been said before but the best way to get to Spectacle Island via Power Armor is the Warwick Homestead. There's a bunch of small sandbars and such that can keep you above the water for a good distance before you begin your underwater walk. Even then, said walk would then be much shorter than from via the Castle.

I just got my Wazer Wiffle. It's very nice to have.

I know this isn't a forum but if someone could help me out I'd be much obliged. Recently I decided to completely rebuild Spectacle Island after years of the way it was. I completely built all the way around the perimeter and much more. Thing is, at certain points but several yards and well out of the away from the perimeter I'm getting the message 'Outside Build Area' and within 5 seconds build mode switches off and yet I'm actually INSIDE the build area. I can see the green perimeter zone about 20 or so yards away.

Anyone any ideas as to why this happens ?

Got stuck in the middle of some body of water with power armor because I wasn't expecting the walk to be so slow 💀 quickly regretted things but I couldn't find the way back and I didn't wanna ditch my power armor so I probably walked for the longest time I ever have in a game

I play on survival mode, and without fast travel the island is just the worst setllment in both terms of access and relative position to useful POI'S.

That being the case, I barely use it.

I think the skeletons -- and umbrella'd tables -- in the sand seems more like a setup for pre-war folks enjoying the beach. The bomb hitting would've caused huge waves, too, that would've crashed ships into the shore (check) and buried anyone on the beach (check)

How come this game doesn't have any sea monsters...????
Even GTA 5 had sharks. Your telling me they couldn't of put some mutated shark or squid or some RE river monster in the water?!??

I'm trying to figure out how to make this quest get finished. I can clear the island, turn on the generator, go to the shake and the switch will never turn on the sound. I did kill the mirelurk queen.
It's more with the game not actually telling itself that all the requirements are met.
There is another quest that does the same, where I have to clear out place, everything has been killed 3 times already.

Idk if I'm a rarity, but high pitched noises like that give me migranes. A bunch of guys at my old high-school actually figured that out and they kept playing a high-pitched noise until I cried.
