Which Tank Has Been The Best in FFXIV Endwalker? Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.3

Just found this channel, looking forward to more tank stuffs

I like Gunbreaker but I'm not playing it because it feels broken. The drift or reverse drift depending on your sks just feels awful to play. They really need to do something.

I main DRK and my gf mains Paladin, she loves it.

PLD has the best clutch potential of any tank for PROG and of any class really only second to Healer LB3.
The things you can do with this class are actually crazy. I have saved P8S runs in impossible situations, I'll give you an example.
My off tank had died near the end of the fight and a tank buster was coming, I used invuln on myself, deactivated my stance and used shirk on highest aggro melee and screamed for him to go to B (aka the marker B), before the tank buster hit him I used cover and took all the damage but not the debuff so I survived and we hit phase 2. You need to be very cold and quite cunning to pull this off while in the middle of the fight and keeping your dps going.
I main gunbreaker though but if I had to pick a best tank I would say for sure DRK.

Paladin is least popular still for many reasons, Longest invul, 2nd worst DPS, Rework likely put off a lot of the old school PLD players from playing it even if it added new people who wanted to pick it up.

I've I personally think they need War/PLD to stand out even more defensively for one, another thing they can do is make DPS less punishing but make it so the mechanic failing stuff is way more punishing, let warriors use holm gang more and have more cheese in fights, at least give PLD/WAR more unique strong upsides for the lower DPS.
