I learned you can absolutely strike zombies with a spear or a bat through an open window. Though it seems the weapons only allow a max multi-hit of 2.

i cant stealth kill, it takes too long to get in the position the game wants me to exactly match

With the window strat, I have had some strange encounters. Just a day ago, I saw a zombie banging on the window. I let it in and killed it on the ground. Two seconds later, another came in. Then another. I think I killed about thirty zombies in that window before I decided that it was too much. Died literally the second I left that house.

Here's one, Attacking while standing still is effective at saving durability for your weapon.
Of course, you'll earn less Agility xp, since you're not moving.

my problem is that sometimes my character just randomly wants to push or hit 45 degrees to other way from the zombie even when the zombie is green outlined and im aiming at the zombie. This is why I die 99% of the time

one thing i learned when my character was tired, starving, injured, carrying a heavy load, and being chased by a hoard. Is that you are faster than the zombies when moving through a thick group of trees.

you can also do the fence strat with guns,even if you have 0 aiming skill and a crappy pistol in your hands,when a zombie jumps off the fence and falls down,no matter what the color outline of the zombie,you will shoot him guaranteed or with a very very high chance you wouldnt get otherwise.

Step one Build a campfire. Step 2 Yell! Step 3 Kite em round til they all burn to the ground. Don't do this around your base or valuable loot spots.

Love all these except the window strategy. That will get you killed

Stomping lose/spend "shoes" durability if I am not wrong. If you are somewhere where your "good boots" are the only pair you have and found, might not be the best choice to use stomp instead of using some weapon

I managed to take out an entire horde yesterday with just a meat cleaver and a fence

Another easy way to avoid getting lunged at by a zombie is to push (Or hit) them while their crawling over the fence this will cancel the lunge animation leaving them helpless.

I personally prefer to kill zombies that are on the ground with weapon bcs that gives u xp

should be tip #1 find a bat....

Something I've discovered recently, you can shove zombies as they hop over a fence or window and they will be stunned on the ground unable to lunge at you.

watched a whole bunch of videos to try and reduce the learning curve time spent (busy life, not time to put in 200 hrs into a single game), hopped in the game and even the most basic videos I watched never said

"spend time just figuring out how to fight, ignore all the items except whatever ready-access weapons are available and go outside and pick fights and learn to fight"

I need to spend ~20+ hours learning to fight before anything else matters in this game

how to work the controls, get used to timing, feel out different weapons, learn mechanic tendancies

why is none of this comvered in most 'getting started in PZ' videos?

My main problem is terrible controls which makes the game feel unresponsive and clunky in combat. I hope there's a mod to disable the Right Click aiming so the character aims and looks where my cursor is automatically instead.

When fighting 2-3 zombies, ill try to knock 2 of them down and stand on top of them while pushing the 3rd away until it falls, usually when I have a bad weapon or my skills are very low

If anyone needs proof of the effects of zombie stats, try setting them to sprinters with max toughness, strength and hearing...with the ability to open doors. It’s fun but at the same time not fun at all. Nothing like having 3 zombies bust into your house at full speed after hearing you open the fridge.

Nice Video host, I was wondering, my character got killed by two zombies in a bathroom in a house last night. Was upsetting as I had built up the character over 3 days. They were silent until I opened the door, then came flying out at me. In hindsight I wonder if a push attack would have served me better then run. have you got a video to do with house clearing combat? Thanks.

Thing about 10 is you dont get weapon exp.

for the "stealth kill" it doesnt require to be stealthy, just to be close enough so it works even if the zombie is coming towards you, just be careful to not be bitten. Also pushing zombies to make them fall on the ground works the first try if you are close enough

i've used pirated version in 2020, now i bought like one month to play mp with friends that i've been wanting to play. plus i am zed killer cuz my friend called me after he saw i just handled the hordes well, no scratches.

Hey there bro GGs to you ! I see two major points missing ! 1. Always use long weapons specially crowbars are KING ! Very low dur loss and giving long term amounts of strengh . Super important when fighting Zs coz that lil distanse can mean border between life and death in most times ! 2. Dont turn your back and run when they are too close to grip on you ! Half of times of me dying was bcoz of that

Tip for combat: Keep your health menu open, so you wont miss becoming fatigued if you have exercised. Pay attention to exhaustion. You might be the best in combat, but this will eventually kill you if you ignore it.

i set my character up for a zombie killing spree by grabbing coffee grounds, orange sodas, and cereal boxes. these are by far the best items you could want when you plan on just decimating zombie populations (i also usually grab some beta blockers as well) with all of these things i average about 200 zombie kills a day, which means you are basically immortal as soon as you have these items and enough skill to know when you are in danger.

Alright so....the fence strat or window strat is a little op. My friend and I were in Riverside I thinks and we were being chased by the whole town so we were running when I told him to run in the house through the window and while the zombies were just piling throught he window, he started hitting them on the ground with his bat and killing them all and he watched the window while I watched the door

I often die because the zombies just dont die. I spend 10 minutes real time beating them with my hammer or bat and knock them down but they dont die. Im aiming at their head when they are on the ground but they are resilient fuckers. Does the weapon condition matter? Are some zombies stronger than other? I dont understand why it takes so long to kill them sometimes.

When Zombies hop the fence, push them, that way they will technically fall and won't be able to do the lunge animation

I recently use a "kiting" strategy: If a medium-sized horde -- say 10-15 zeds -- approach, I will walk towards open space while at the same time aggro exactly one zed (it starts jogging). I walk away from the horde, making sure the aggro-ed zed keeps jogging. After some distance, the rest of the horde will be quite far away I have time to finish this one zed. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Overconfidence is a great killer. Even if you think you can handle the fight all it takes is one mistake grab and you get stun locked. Running away when outnumbered and unprepared is good advice for survival

Thank u for the stomping i learn something new today. This game need alot to learn but i feel happy to learn like medic knowledge and crafting things. Not feel boring like some lessons from school.
