fantastic video! I got a job in Thailand and start in August 2024. I want to be able to tour Thailand and be able to explore a bit of off-the-path roads. This is exactly the video I was hoping to find. Any chance there is a way to raise the suspension an inch or so for extra clearance? Wondering what mod options there are. Would you only bring it to an authorized Honda shop for repairs? When I was in 'nam it was well known that the shops there would take original parts and replace them.
ОтветитьIs there small compartment at the front to put your phone in the ADV like there is in the click or do you have to keep it in your pocket if you don’t have a phone holder? The phone/phone screen must get red hot (wreck the battery) if it’s attached to phone holder in the sun?
ОтветитьGreat video! just a reminder please never put your laptop or your phone in the bike's trunk cuz it can get very hot and can causes explosion, I've heard news about it here in Indonesia
ОтветитьGreat review! I really wanted to see Gig sit on the ADV to see what it would look like on a 5’3 person. Can she put both feet on the ground?
Edit: nevermind, i found a video where you showcased Gig on the ADV 160!
Adv for the gas tank in the front so you don't have to get off when refueling and click for the smaller handlebar but then you can probably modify the adv handbars.
ОтветитьHelpful review! I would love to see a similiar one with the PCX and the ADV
ОтветитьGiven the ADV is 50% more expensive, I’ll take the click. Push comes to shove I can spring a few $$ for a better rear shock. If I want to ride open roads I’ll get a 350 or an XMAX.
ОтветитьDo u guys have rusty chassis problems on the click 160 in thailand? I have seen reviews of many broken "ESAF" chassis happened in indonesia typically on click 160 (vario 160). Rust occured at the chassis weldjoint. They called it "enhanced smart auto-folded = esaf" chassis over there 😅😆
ОтветитьGood video. Your explanation of everyday usage was fantastic. it's something i haven't seen on any other channel. that is what a buyer want to know also.
ОтветитьCLICK 160 THE BEST
SPEED 🔥🔥.
Any thoughts on if the ADV160 a good choice in Koh Samui, or should I stick with the Click160?
ОтветитьGreat review... what mobile holder are u using and where did u buy them?
ОтветитьI have the click 160 with ABS and disk break at the back I need the platform at the front for my kid who fall asleep as soon as he get on the bike ,love that scooter small lite and very stable .
ОтветитьToo me longevity is more important than speed. Honda will always be my first choice as I keep my scooters for the long hall.👍
ОтветитьI have exactly that problem in Bali.
Need to buy a scooter, for sure it`s a Honda. Either the Click (called Varrio in Indonesia) , PCX or ADV. There`s a lot of traffic here and I`m afraid of getting stuck on the tight roads with traffic, where i can slip through easily so far.
Any recommendations on that? The price difference here is surprisingly small, the ADV is not even 600$ more expensive. Of course, It`s the same 160 engine, but the ADV is much more scooter.
Why don't you like the aerox ? I must say I didn't like to have my girlfriend on the back of if
ОтветитьHad a Yamaha 150 not sure of the model but a nice ride few years back in Phuket
ОтветитьI wonder why there is such a difference in the characteristic of the engines when the Click and ADV use the exact same engine.
ОтветитьMy neighbor is offering me a Honda adv 150 with 11,000 km and some damage for 120,000 peso (new is 150,000) Its had some hard use and will have a mechanic check it out. I'm 6'2" 96 kilos. Want for around the island trips, no heavy traffic here, any thoughts?
ОтветитьWhy those soldier gicing salute to random person ?
ОтветитьThank you for the great ENGLISH comparison! I retire to Bohol Philippines in a few months. I'm probably going to go for the Click 160. Adding a quality adjustable shock to the back is cheap. I want the flat floor for hauling things back from the market. I'll also add a 45 liter top box to the back for even more storage. The ADV is a nicer bike, but not $1,000 nicer when I can get the Click to do what I want for $150 worth of add-ons. As for ABS. I've been riding motorcycles from 1100cc to 90cc for 50 years now and never had ABS, or crashed due to poor braking. I'll get by with the combi brakes :) Ride safe!
It would be really sweet if you could borrow a Honda Airblade 160 and let us know what you think of it. It's the price of a Click, has ABS, and bigger under seat storage than the Click.
Great review! The Click isn’t sold stateside but I’d go with the ADV160 anyway. Unfortunately in the States the dealers are not getting too many ADV160’s and the mark up is high so with tax, license and mark up you’re looking at $6k-$8k. Also not the nicest color options. Test drove the outgoing ADV150 and didn’t like the overall feel of bulkiness and the wide handlebars compared to my 2010 Honda Elite 110cc (Lead in other countries).
It’s really nice to lane split the Elite in stopped CA traffic. Because it only can go 50MPH it’s perfect for congested city streets but not highway legal which is fine. I don’t want to go any faster on 2 wheels let alone a small scooter. The Elite is so nimble it’s almost like being on an e-bike but it gets 110MPG, no waiting to charge it and much faster. They only sold the Elite in 2010 and it didn’t sell well because of the recession and low gas prices back then. I use it for food delivery and it looks and runs like new. Unfortunately it’s much more dangerous being on 2 wheels in the states because of all the dangers on our roads I won’t get into because thats another topic completely.
Great review comparing the 2. Thanks.
ОтветитьGood to the point comparison. No flannel. Nick J
ОтветитьWow. SO much more expensive in the USA.. Can buy a good used car here for what you pay out the door for the ADV. ADV is heavier duty all around.. Click seems more tossable though; I'd think a smaller person might prefer the Click - either way, Click not available here in the US. we just bought the ADV. Nice scoot, though its seen as not "Macho" here, so lots of jokes.
Ответитьonly in thai
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm in the Philippine and have been looking at the adv. Now I have a post in English and can understand. It looks like I'll get the adv
Ответитьhow weight and height are you bro??😅😅😅
ОтветитьI playing bub no hearm in me I love those scoter
ОтветитьA that’s not fear u done hade a women on the back of it should been me no but there are bad ass
ОтветитьA bub I lick them lumean wheels u guys as got deack it out not to much a it well seal better lick that wen u got it deack out bad ass
ОтветитьGreat info. thanks. Very helpful.
Ответитьclick omg only 1 shock, may good for a small city drive. adv much better but too expensive, thais dont have a big income
Ответитьif you like speed, on Honda's 160 scoots, try airblade 160. You'll be surprised with that underrated scooter 👍👍👍
ОтветитьСпасибо за отличный обзор
ОтветитьAwesome breakdown. I had to make a decision and this vid was exactly what i needed. Thnx bud
ОтветитьBut the Price is so Huge in difference so thats going to be a Factor..
ОтветитьI will be arriving in a few weeks to Thailand. I am definitely going to buy the ADV 160 but how safe is it to have a cell phone like that on the handlebars? When I travel I want to use my mouth system, but having it on the handlebars makes me just a bit nervous. How secure is that mount?
ОтветитьLoved the review and timely, I'm in the process of choosing between the two. I'm about 6'4" and 240, I'm guessing the 350 is what I need. I currently have a 150i Click and every bump gets sent right up my spine.
ОтветитьMy biggest issue with the new ADV is color. The previous ADV was glossy. The new one is bland. Did you say that you only got 81 mpg on the ADV? That has to be wrong. I’ve heard the ADV easily gets over 110 mpg.
ОтветитьHi Thanks for Vlog just deciding which scooter to buy when I get to Thailand in November I most need for city driving and the surrounding areas looks like both are good bikes.
Keep up the great work Cheers Irish Paul
Really helped me with researching which scooter to go for in Cambodia . I really had the click 160 as strong contender but think this video has convinced me its the ADV160. I know I want to be able to tackle some out of city roads, a little off road and some pillion carrying. The dual shocks , not bottoming out, better braking and better rear view mirror have sealed the deal for the ADV. The final tick in the box is the great storage , the ability to stow a helmet even two helmets away is a real bonus . The one trade off is the little loss of zipping in and out of traffic, the ADVs wider bars and extra 17kg bigger bike feel will mean a bit more caution patience required. That said I will be new to riding in such a Phnom Penh and so will be finding my feet and slowly building skill and experience and confidence so probably will be taking the progressive riding asy for a while . I am already thinking night just have to have an older Click 125 hanging about as a second bike for those heavy traffic local journeys ?? . Thanks for the great comparison video , Now will it be new or pre used , let me think 😉😉
ОтветитьGreat video dude. In thailand now and just rented the ADV 160. Great bike - so much better than Nmax and PCX.
ОтветитьHi handsome. Great video channel. Make more videos. I like your humor. ❤ Ride saft
ОтветитьClick160 must have 2 shocks, much better
ОтветитьIf I’m gonna do long highway cruising on an adv 160, I know the Xmas or the forza is better but with the adv 160 what should be the cruising speed on a 2 to 4 lane highway?
On my mind it’s like 50-65 miles what do you think?
Nice video! Answers a lot of questions. Been renting click 125s all through Thailand and now in Cambodia. Is the adv comfy on the butt for a 5 to 6 hour ride?
Ответитьgreat review! now we need to compare adv 160 with aprilia 200 :D
ОтветитьGreat bike reviews with you and Gig. I found this channel researching for a new PCX but now I’m thinking ADV 160. I’m an expat in the Pattaya area myself. Subscribed
