Yes, he is from Mesopotamia, but so was Abram before he sojourned to the Promised Land. All anyone knows/remembers/is taught about Balaam is that he had a talking donkey who "got him together" before an angel killed him. No it doesn’t get overlook because it has a weird name I think it’s because of the Parts where it’s constantly Numbers all the Tribes….It was really a handful for me to get Through along with some parts of Leviticus when talking about the sacrifices you can also put building of the Ark in that too think that’s about the End of Exodus though….Believe me all that information overload was a lot to get through over and over again back to back….If you are reading the Bible front to back that might Get to you a Little.

I‘ve read through the entire Bible three times in different translations. Currently I‘m reading Numbers as I make my fourth readthrough. Even though I‘m at the tail end of the book now, I‘ve learned so much stuff from your two videos on the book that I‘ve somehow missed. Thanks for your engaging, clear presentation. ❤ 😊

I’ve been a Christian for about a year and I am that weirdo who reads Scripture EVERY SINGLE DAY and I pray before reading, because it is so complicated and difficult to understand in moments, but these short videos really encapsulate the bigger picture and help a lot with all the years of programming that “God is just brutal and vindictive.” (I was, and surrounded myself with vehement atheists, modern-day witches, pagans, etc.) It started with Jesus and His teachings revealing to me much of what I had already felt somewhere deep inside. Now, I’m studying more of the rich history of God and how He has always been faithful AND just in His ways. It’s sometimes so hard for my naturally hard, skeptical, and proud heart, but I’m so grateful for scholarly people who are always willing to go in-depth to reveal God’s nature in the Bible.
